We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Consultant Specialist.

We are MSS IT - MSS Operations Technology - Global Reconciliations Team. We are currently working on multiple deliveries, including building new reconciliations, multi-year, multimillion program to replace existing legacy applications, along with multiple operational enhancements, infrastructure enhancements, SSP, production stability, etc on the ground.

We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Consultant Specialist in Global Reconciliations.

In this role, you will:

  • Responsible for the administration, maintenance, and optimization of Oracle databases and supporting infrastructure. Ensures high availability, performance, and security of database environments, and collaborates with IT teams to deliver robust solutions.
  • Act as a Performance Tuning Expert, including in-depth analysis of AWR, ADDM, and ASH reports.
  • Utilise Ansible and other automation tools to streamline database operations and deployments.
  • Demonstrate strong knowledge of Oracle and general RDBMS concepts.
  • Administer and support Oracle, PostgreSQL, and MongoDB databases on Linux/Unix platforms.
  • Develop and maintain shell scripts for automation and operational efficiency.
  • Provide hands-on DBA support for Oracle 11g, 12c, and 19c environments, with a preference for experience in Oracle 19c.
  • Perform database builds, configuration, upgrades, migrations, and patching activities.
  • Ensure robust backup and recovery strategies using RMAN and manage Oracle RAC environments.
  • Exhibit excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical scenarios clearly and concisely to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Demonstrate a strong sense of ownership, urgency, attention to detail, flexibility, process orientation, and analytical skills.
  • Adhere strictly to compliance procedures and policies.
  • Leverage knowledge of ASM and Data Guard; experience in performance tuning is highly desirable.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you should meet the following requirements:

  • Proven experience as an Oracle DBA, with hands-on expertise in Oracle 11g, 12c, and 19c .
  • Proficiency in Ansible and other automation tools.
  • Strong understanding of Oracle, PostgreSQL, and MongoDB database administration.
  • Advanced scripting skills in Shell.
  • Solid experience with Unix/Linux operating systems.
  • In-depth knowledge of backup/recovery (RMAN), RAC, ASM, and Data Guard.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • High attention to detail and a process-driven approach.
  • Commitment to compliance and best practices.

     

     

    Preferred Qualifications

  • Oracle Certified Professional (OCP) certification.
  • Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, OCI).
  • Exposure to automation and DevOps practices.
  • Knowledge of other database technologies (SQL Server, MySQL).
