Working with institutional investors, banks, insurance companies, governments and multinational corporations, Securities Services offers a range of fund administration, global custody, sub-custody and clearing, and corporate trust and loan agency services.  

We are currently seeking a high calibre professional to join our team as a Product Analyst, Securities Services Digital, Data & Innovation. 

Principal Responsibilities

  • Support Product owner to drive the growth of digital & data capabilities as part of the wider Digital, Data & Innovation group within HSBC Securities Services
  • Assist in product development, design end-to-end solutions based on business requirements, ensuring the solutions are both effective in meeting defined objectives
  • Organize meetings and workshops with users and subject matter experts to understand business requirements. Collaborate with these experts to create comprehensive business workflows for the Business Requirements Document (BRD) and Functional Specifications Document (FSD), ensuring alignment with IT roadmap and strategies
  • Articulate business requirements to vendors, providing effort estimation and ensuring complete coverage of the business requirements relevant to vendor delivery
  • Work closely with the IT development team, Application Architects, and vendors to deliver prototypes (when needed), and evaluate these with business users to align expectations and solidify requirements
  • Coordinate cross-functional team members and activities for business work streams or entire change and technology implementation initiatives. Ensure all business requirements are addressed within functional specifications and keep the Project Manager and/or functional stream leads updated on progress
  • Support Business Leads or user representatives in preparing training plans or materials, and user manuals
  • Assist Product Owner in reviewing UAT test artifacts like test plans, test scenarios, test cases, and data. Your role will involve thorough assessment of the upstream and downstream impact of changes and ensuring the quality of JIRA stories by identifying comprehensive exception scenarios
Requirements
  • At least 1-2 years of experience working in a significant digital product function in a large, complex organization
  • Understanding of basic data analysis tools such as Microsoft Excel
  • Ability to interpret data and extract key insights
  • Understanding of business strategy and customer needs
  • Ability to empathize with clients and their business goals and transformation journeys
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a detail-oriented mindset
  • Results oriented, able to drive a ‘think client’ approach within defined risk parameters
  • To support the Digital, Data & Innovation Leadership team and act as proxy where required
  • Eagerness to learn and adapt in a dynamic environment
