Job description

Global Payment Solutions (GPS) is a core contributor to HSBC supporting Corporate and Institutional customers across all segments. Our payments business connects clients worldwide and enables efficient movement of monies through cash management products across payables, receivables, clearing and foreign currency, liquidity solutions and corporate credit cards. GPS is a key funding engine for the bank supporting a strong and sustainable balance sheet.

The GPS business is in a highly competitive market underpinned by complex regulatory environment. Companies are demanding smoother, faster and more cost-efficient ways to make payments, both domestically and across borders. At the same time they also want greater visibility and control across their treasury function delivered through a suite of interoperable delivery channels which can be seamlessly integrated to their own back office systems.

The proposed role covers GPS Products. The reporting line is to the Head of Global Payments Solutions.  The incumbent will work closely with the Digital Product Executive to prioritize GPS channel investments and work closely with regional product executives to execute and commercialize product strategy.

In our current environment the GPS Product Management operating model is regional with a requirement for a Global governance structure. No formal global functional leadership currently exists to direct the global programs, act as a focal point for global customer group programs and develop a more cohesive global product strategy.

This provides an opportunity to introduce Global leadership, both functional and direct, where the incumbent will be responsible for evolving, executing and maintaining a more defined global GPS product strategy.
