 We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Manager: QIS Execution, Assistant Vice President Regulatory Reporting

Principal responsibilities

  • Responsibility and ownership of analysis and reporting relating to the RWAs for Basel 3 Reforms monitoring internally and global QIS exercises as required by HSBC’s regulators globally.
  • Deep dive activities: analysis of specific issues identified during reporting process, regulator queries or regulator Q&A related. Regionally located role holders will work within the local regulatory relationship management process to address regulatory queries.
  • Close interactions with Global businesses and regional reporting teams explaining results and query resolution.
  • Work closely with the FCD team on key issues identified in the strategic tool while QIS execution, so as to ensure the issues are fixed in upstream and minimise manual intervention required for QIS execution. As part of change development, the role holder will perform detailed end to end testing and provide sign off.
  • Find areas of improvement and automation and raise detailed requirement with the FCD. Further perform detailed end to end testing and provide sign-off for implementation.
  • Maintenance of HSBC’s good standing and the confidence of the regulators in HSBC’s practices with a specific focus on the QIS exercises.
  • Contribute to delivery of external QIS reporting to the PRA and other regulators to adequate standards in a timely manner
  • Accurate and timely production of Regulatory information across the Group
Requirements
  • Expert knowledge of PRA and other regulatory reporting requirements and recent developments;
  • Advanced knowledge and experience of Basel III Reforms;
  • Previous experience in a RWA or Capital reporting role is essential;
  • Preferably a qualified Accountant;
  • Ability to work under pressure, report to tight deadlines and deal effectively with issues as they arise.
  • Ability to manage change, both within and without the team and through use of modern collaboration environments (e.g. Microsoft Teams)
  • An understanding of HSBC’s consolidations systems and processes would be an advantage.
  • An understanding of SQL, Qlik, Google Cloud or other visualisation or analytical tools would be an advantage
