This function brings together distinct specialisms to drive greater connectivity in how we manage engagement with key stakeholders for HSBC.
- Finance teams provide the bank with internal and external financial reporting, forecasting, controls oversight and stress testing expertise. Specialist areas also manage HSBC’s worldwide tax affairs, group treasury needs, and events for investors and analysts.
- Sustainability teams lead the bank’s work to support sustainable growth in a global economy, including an ambitious plan to prioritise financing that supports the transition to net zero.
- Group External Communications teams – including colleagues from Media Relations, ESG Communications and Group Reputation – deliver communication strategies that support HSBC’s strategic objectives, protect our reputation and build trust among our stakeholders.
We are currently seeking a high calibre professional to join our team as a Regulatory Reporting Automation Manager.
Principal Responsibilities
In this role you will
- Design and maintain ‘Alteryx workflows’ to automate data extraction, transformation, validation, and submission for regulatory reports
- Integrate Alteryx with SQL databases, and legacy systems to create seamless data pipelines and eliminate manual process
- Develop Python/SQL scripts for the automation of regulatory reporting production processes along with audit trail generation
- Implement automated controls to monitor completeness and accuracy of regulatory report production processes
- Ensure workflows comply with internal control and regulatory standards by embedding self-documenting logic and error logs
- Partner with reporting team and IT to deploy Tableau/Power BI dashboards for report variance analysis and executive insights
- Train non-technical teams on Alteryx utilization ("code-free" analytics) and foster a culture of automation
To be successful you will need
- 5+ years of experience in banking / IT industry
- Expertise in Alteryx (building complex workflows, error handling) and SQL (advanced querying)
- Proficiency in Python / any other coding tools for data manipulation and Tableau/Power BI for visualization
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to translate regulatory rules into technical solutions
