We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Senior Associate Director, Software Engineering.

Principal responsibilities

  • Lead a Sub Value Stream delivering eID&V solutions and offerings to business and product counterparts.
  • Lead the technology transformation to ensure the team, technology, processes and strategy optimized and configured for delivery at pace.
  • Lead PI Planning in the SVS.  Coach, train and provide ongoing support to SVS key stakeholders and Agile Teams for preparation, facilitation and delivery of all aspects of the quarterly PI Planning cycle.
  • Lead the team to establish a technology solution and offering that will serve as the eID&V solution for the bank.
  • Work collaboratively with delivery partners in the Value stream in the wider value stream, and other VS / SVS delivery partners.  Ensure that delivery, and partnerships are done seamless in a one-team approach and accountability.
  • Drive usage of strategic toolset, automation and adherence to standard taxonomy – target for optimal and efficiency deliveries with LTTD < 2 days and PDPTPPY > 1000
  • Continuously improve ways of working across the SVS and drive an agile continuous improvement culture, coaching senior leadership on how to enable agile delivery at pace.
  • Maximize the effectiveness of the team by facilitating coaching and training sessions, supporting community building and ensuring effective onboarding.
  • Drive sharing of best practice through asset creation, participation in cross VS Agile Forums to disseminate learnings.
  • Promotes pace and energy within the team, understands differences between people as an opportunity to learn from varied viewpoints.
  • Strategic thinking, strong analytical, organizational, cross-functional collaboration, communication, and presentation skills are mandatory to be successful in this position.
  • Strong stakeholder management / Relationship Management locally and other HSBC locations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Think critically to identity root causes, looking beyond a problem's surface to offer sustainable solutions.
Requirements
  • 10 years’ experience coaching Agile Teams working in Agile & Lean Frameworks.
  • Deep understanding of HSBC delivery process, PI Planning and Agile methodologies
  • Evidence and experience in stakeholder management.
  • Strong delivery track record within HSBC or equivalent organizations.
  • Knowledge of HSBC tools and processes.
  • Experience of JIRA and Confluence.
