Process Implementation and Change (PI&C) is an important function of HSBC International Wealth and Personal Banking (IWPB) helping to achieve global and local strategic goals through project delivery. The team consists of Business Analysts, Testing, and Change Management, and works on projects to improve efficiencies and sustainability within IWPB.  The team works closely with key stakeholders across IWPB’s divisions, as well as the Transformation and Technology team.

In this role, you will improve the testing capabilities within IWPB Design, PI&C Team aiming to achieve the organisation strategy. You should have a track record of positive results in testing capabilities, display excellent interpersonal skills to build quality relationships within the team and with internal stakeholders, be goal-driven and able to perform efficiently and effectively. You will have deep experience in testing domains including digital banking to support strategic projects and improve customer experience.

Your main responsibilities will include:

  • Work in an Agile scrum team to deliver customer experience projects.
  • Build effective working relationships with analysis and design teams.
  • Work closely with the Business Analyst, Product Owner and stakeholders to get clarity on the requirements.
  • Create, follow a test strategy and publish test execution reports.
  • Follow all processes in place for verification testing.
  • Create test cases, raise and manage defects in Jira.
  • Execute test cases within test cycle in Jira.
  • Identify any gaps in testing by reviewing post implementation issues – test and regression scripts need to be reviewed and updated to address the gaps.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Relevant experience in digital / retail banking / product experience in testing domain including mobile and desktop applications.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in business, finance, information technology, engineering, preferably ISTQB certified.
  • Strong skills in test analysis and requirements analysis with quality mindset.
  • Solid understanding of digital based banking propositions, systems, processes and operational risk.
  • Demonstrated experience in test management techniques and approaches. 
  • Leadership skills are highly desirable.
  • Strong team approach, “can do” attitude and ability to work in a high performing team and working collaboratively to meet tight deadlines. 
  • Strong experience in testing tools/frameworks including the following:
    • TestNG or similar framework
    • Selenium Grid or similar tools
    • Jira, Postman, Zephyr, Xray

Preference will be given to candidates who hold Australian PR/Citizenship or New Zealand Citizenship, or who can demonstrate current unrestricted work rights in Australia without limitations.
