We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Senior Consultant Specialist. 

Business: Enterprise Technology L3

Principal responsibilities

  • Design, develop and implement enhancements and new functionalities based on business requirements.

  • Provide production support for FTP (Finance Transformation Platform) systems, ensuring timely resolution of incidents and issues.

  • Monitor system performance and troubleshoot errors in SIT, UAT, and production environments.

  • Collaborate with POD teams to integrate FTP with other systems.

  • Conduct unit testing, system integration testing (SIT), and user acceptance testing (UAT) for changes.

  • Prepare and maintain technical documentation, including functional specifications, design documents, and user guides.

  • Ensure compliance with HSBC standards, industry standards and security requirements,

  • Work closely with delivery managers, pod leads, Finance users and other stakeholders to deliver solutions.

     

Requirements
  • Good understanding of the FTP application.

  • Proficiency in COBOL, JCL and mainframe platform.

  • Familiarity with tools like Endevor, or other version control systems.

  • Strong verbal and written English communication skills to interact with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

  • Excellent communication skills and team player.

  • Continuous Integration, Continuous Deployment, Continuous Testing, Automated Testing practices.

  • Business knowledge of accounting (Ledger) and financial reporting.
