Within International Wealth and Premier Banking (IWPB), we serve 41 million customers globally, including 6.7 million who are international, from retail customers to ultra high net worth individuals and their families. We help our customers look after their day-to-day finances and manage, protect and grow their wealth. 
Our wealth management teams provide financial planning and advice and market insight and updates, as well as products in areas such as investments, deposits, insurance, financing and foreign exchange. They include relationship managers, who work to understand the financial needs of clients and create strategies to meet their objectives, as well as technical product experts, sales managers and support staff.

The role of Senior Manager - Wealth Commercialization team is a critical enabler of HSBC India’s ambition to be the bank of choice for HNIs and Ultra-HNIs. As Senior Manager - Wealth Commercialization, the mandate is to ensure that our products, propositions, and platforms translate into frontline sales momentum, client adoption, and revenue growth.

This role sits within the Investment & Wealth Solutions (IWS) team but is deeply networking and performance-oriented - working across Distribution, Product Managers, Bancassurance partners, and client segments to drive execution, productivity, and commercial outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Commercialization & Sales Enablement: Translate product strategies (Mutual Funds, Alternatives, Structured Products, Insurance, Primary Markets, GIFT City offerings) into frontline adoption, campaigns, and client penetration
  • Performance & Productivity: Design and implement productivity frameworks, tools, and RM/IC engagement strategies to maximize sales effectiveness and coverage
  • Stakeholder & Partner Engagement: Manage bancassurance and external partner relationships, ensuring strong joint business planning and delivery
  • Segment Strategy: Tailor commercialization playbooks for Premier and Private Bank segments, linking propositions to differentiated journeys
  • Strategic Communications: Lead impactful market updates, storytelling, and frontline communication to position HSBC as an insight-led wealth partner
  • P&L Ownership: Drive the Wealth P&L across Insurance (VP) and other assigned lines, ensuring sustainable growth and scale
  • Controls & Governance: Embed a culture of suitability, compliance, and responsible growth while enabling commercial velocity
Requirements
  • At least 10-12 years of relevant experience in a Bank, NBFC or in a financial institute working with client facing strategies and propositions
  • MBA from a reputed institute preferred, Post Graduate Degree (preferably in Economics, Mathematics, Finance) or professional qualifications like CA is preferred
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
