We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Stewardship Support Manager, Monitoring and Operations.
Principal responsibilities
- Voting and Engagement Monitoring: Support the monitoring of voting and engagement activities across the firm, fund, and business levels. Produce management information and conduct checks, including producing engagement and voting statistics for stakeholder reporting. Perform weekly reviews of voting activities, such as split votes and voting rationales. Prepare materials for the Stewardship Committee.
- Stewardship Tool Support: Work with Responsible Investment colleagues and project management/technology teams to support the ongoing development and maintenance of the engagement recording tool and other activity logs.
- Voting Operations Liaison: Act as a liaison point between the Stewardship team and the voting operations team; work to improve the effectiveness of voting processes and carry out shared responsibilities such as arranging Power of Attorney documentation. Help manage the relationship with our proxy voting service provider(s).
- Stakeholder coordination: Facilitate stakeholder coordination for company engagements and proxy voting; collaborate with other Responsible Investment team members as needed to address client and investment team requirements.
- Case Study Management: Assist in indexing and maintaining engagement case studies.
- Procedure Documentation: Maintain the stewardship section of the Responsible Investment team’s Desk Procedure Manual.
- Client Query Liaison: Act as the primary contact for client queries escalated to the stewardship team.
- Demonstrable experience in analysing and processing large amounts of data, including the use of advanced Excel functions
- The experience of using Python is ideal but not a pre-requisite . Experience of proxy voting would be an advantage
- Excellent analytical skills; particularly the ability and confidence in working a large volume of complex quantitative data is a must
- Strong ability to navigate complex databases, systems and operational processes
- Ability to apply good judgement and strong attention to detail
- Highly organised and experienced in planning workloads against tight timelines
- Strong project management skills, managing the prioritisation of competing demands from different stakeholders across different jurisdictions with tight timeframe
