We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join the GTS team in HSBC GIFT City International Banking Unit. 

Job Introduction

  • GTS Operations Manager – GIFT City
  • Assisting with the management of teams engaged in processing of transactions and checking GSC and onshore.  
  • Assisting with the management of reconciliation and audit activity and escalation management
  • Ensure tasks are executed in line with service level agreements between GIFT City and GSC and all extant regulations
  • Assisting with the management of relationships with internal and where applicable, any stake holders.
  • Assisting with the management of work schedules, resources, and budgetary planning for a unit.
  • Ensure that the unit is equipped with systems, resources, and expertise to support the unit objectives.

 

 Principal Responsibilities

 

  • Responsible for overall GTS Operations in HIBU
  • Oversee transaction processing for HIBU with Service Providers ensure that the transactions are processed within SLA and in compliance with HIBU operating controls 
  • Processing (L2) of RF and GTY tranx and perform GTY vetting onshore
  • Manage on-site service provider team deployed for scanning documents.
  • Plan transaction flows / BAU for GTS clients across GB, CMB, LOB’s between HIBU, GTS Frontline teams and Service Providers.
  • Work Closely with Area Head GTS Services, Trade BDM’s (including FI’s) and client service managers to meet client’s expectations on transactions processing.
  • Monitor suspense & nostro accounts to ensure the entries are passed promptly.
  • Ensure Primary & Secondary reviews of control reports are completed as per GOP.
  • Organize Trade Academies and knowledge sessions for HIBU clients in coordination with CSM team.
  • Manage & Prepare Regulatory Reporting, Concurrent and Internal Audits for HIBU.
  • Streamlining processes, controls and de-risking HIBU operations for GTS.
  • Investigate Operational issues/ events, perform proactive root cause analysis and independently drive closure of actions.
  • Co-ordinate with IT Projects teams for change control releases, UAT’s and resolution of defects.
  • To provide inputs for preparation of Process notes/ Manual and be involved in compilation.
  • Ensure swift messages for Core Trade and Guarantees are actioned including Daily reconciliation.
  • Managing end to end tracking of guarantee and core trade transactions including tracking of internal approvals for HIBU.
  • To conduct and participate in review calls with Group Offices for HIBU transactions
  • To ensure follow up and timely action for commission receivables / payable is undertaken.
  • Review control reports and other HIE generated reports daily to ensure that no Balance sheet differences occur to account of transactions processed on the previous day.

Requirements

Role Requirements / Education Qualifications / Certifications / Experience:

  • Graduate / Post Graduate Degree
  • Minimum of 5 to 7 years of work experience out of which 3 to 5 years should be in Trade Operation Role.
  • Active GIFT City transaction handling experience will be an added advantage.
  • Thorough knowledge of Internal Processes, FEMA and Regulatory Requirements as applicable to GTS transactions.
  • Working knowledge of Guarantee issuances & vetting.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Client and Business centric approach, solution oriented and strong control.
  • Excellent people management skills.
