The Trusted Sources and Flow Lead is accountable for establishing and maintaining a standardized approach for documenting Trusted Sources and Data Flow in the US Data and Analytics Office (DAO). This role will work closely with the Data Management Lead to ensure appropriate documentation of data flows as well as consistent implementation of Trusted Source Framework, including completion of Right Source Architecture Reviews and coordination of other required controls.

As our Trusted Sources and Flow Lead you will:

  • Represent the DAO in all matters related to Trusted Sources and Flow
  • Work with DAO, GB/GFs, and other stakeholders to establish a standardized approach to identify Trusted Sources within the US
  • Govern Trusted Source Framework standards, tools, best practices, and related techniques
  • Conduct training sessions as needed and implement and publish monthly reporting
  • Ensure data at rest and data in motion is documented in accordance with policy and standards
  • Lead, motivate and manage a team
  • Support communication of the status, value, and importance of data collection/management/modeling to executive members and external stakeholders
  • Interact and be a representative throughout the region at various levels of management on behalf of the DAO
  • Proactively share best practices and expectations across the US
  • Cultivate a positive and collaborative working environment across DAO and the leadership team
  • Lead and develop an effective team through communication, performance management, development plans, and reward/recognition practices
  • Promote an environment that supports diversity and reflects the HSBC brand

For this role, HSBC targets a pay range between $138,400.00 and $185,000.00

The final fixed pay offer will depend on the candidate and a number of variables, including but not limited to, role responsibilities, skill set, depth of experience and education, licensing/certification requirements, internal relativity, and specific work location.

Requirements

You´ll likely have the following qualifications to succeed in this role:

  • Strong knowledge of metadata management, data modelling, and related tools (e.g. Collibra)
  • Experience with managing a technical team in an agile environment
  • Previous GB/GF systems knowledge to support stakeholder management
  • Necessity to make robust/tough decisions that may be contrary to others’ wishes and ability to prioritize competing demands
  • A good knowledge of the Group (or a similarly situated large global organization) and its strategy, internal policies, and procedures is preferable
  • Proven ability to manage a wide range of internal and external stakeholder relationships
  • Strong leadership and management ability, developing and motivating employees over multiple sites
  • Able to cope with pressure and tight deadlines and be change-oriented
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Experience with data warehouse, data lake, and enterprise big data platforms in multi-data-center contexts preferred
