Wealth and Personal Banking serves more than 50 million customers worldwide with a complete range of banking and wealth management services to enable them to manage their finances and protect and build their financial futures. It is a global business that brings together management responsibility for Retail Banking, Wealth Management, Insurance and Asset Management with a focus on customer-centric propositions and innovative and efficient distribution channels.
We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join this team in the role of Vice President Underwriting Card PIL Flexi
Responsibilities:
- To be responsible for the management of approval process, review and control & monitoring of the WPB credit application for unsecured Products e.g Cards, PIL, FlexiCredit, portfolio management action and management of related credit decision activities of credit operations.
- The jobholder will work closely with Risk Policy, Product Team, Sales Team, Branch to implement efficient strategies to maximize profitability within a challenging growth environment.
- The major challenges faced by the jobholder is improving, achieving, and maintaining consistent and credit approval process within the agreed service standard and within the set guidelines for credit process in aggressive business growth scenario and competitive market to satisfy customer within the risk reward policies.
- Given the expected business growth, the jobholder will be required to think laterally and analytically to resolve problems. Combination of process improvement ability e.g minimizing credit processing cost by managing process efficiencies and people management skills will be required
To be successful in this role, you should meet the following requirements:
- Hold a minimum bachelor degree
- Knowledge of Wealth and Personal Banking area
- At least 5 years experienced in related area, especially Underwriting process.
- Risk management experience is preferred, with the ability to focus quickly on key issues
- High degree of analytical skills on both individual credits and from a portfolio basis
- Focused written and verbal communications skills
- Demonstrate high degree of integrity
- Strong leadership in managing and developing the team
- Having ability to engage and work collaboratively with other functions.
- Fluent communication and interpersonal skills
