We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of WPB Risk and Control Manager, Data and Analytics - IWPB BRR UTILITY HSBC HK RC.

Principal responsibilities:

Manager Data & Analytics is a key position supporting the commercial use of the outcomes of business analytics, contact planning and communication operations.

The role holder will focus on using Data & Analytics to drive business activities and outcomes that improve or transform:

  • Customer experience.

  • Staff productivity.

  • Business decision process.

  • Operational effectiveness.

  • The above would in turn improve business profitability and grow market share following RBWM strategies.

The role holder will have these activities:

  • Support one or more key activities described under “Impact on the Business”.

  • Support engagement with stakeholders.

  • Work activities against specific missions amongst the tribe(s).

  • Work across onshore and offshore units.

Key responsibilities:

  • Clearly understands business context and objectives; and where analytical functions are best positioned to add value.

  • Supports design of personal and relevant communications and deliver via effective use of communications toolkits.  Embeds test and learn culture and conducts holistic leads performance review to optimize the communication outcome.

  • Measures and gathers quantitative and qualitative learning, and refines targeting / communications based on performance review.

  • Engages business stakeholder effectively, builds rapport and trust based on strong appreciation of issues and needs. Communicates effectively across business and analytics functions.     

Requirements

We seek highly motivated specialists who have the following experience and qualifications to join our dynamic organization.

  • Possess 4 to 8 years’ experience in one or multiple skills in business / process analytics or contact and communication design and operation in the financial or digital domains. Or similar experience in analytics consulting or managing digital products.

  • Good problem solving skills.

  • Exhibit self-motivated, self-starter behaviors. Good communicator and interpersonal skills.

  • Experience in one or more of: customer segmentation, digital marketing, data science, portfolio analytics, use of open-source data in analyses.

  • Strong team player; able to work members of different skills and experiences. Comfortable to operate in a complex matrix structure with multiple stake holders.

  • Experience with 1+ AGILE methods: Scrum, Kanban, SAFe, Pair programming.

Having these attributes would be advantageous:

  • Demonstrated experience in process and analysis of large amount of data using one of these: Python, R, SQL or SAS; on environments such as AWS, Google cloud or Hadoop.

  • Proficiency in PEGA marketing, Teradata Customer Interaction Manager (CIM), Celebrus and SalesForce marketing Cloud.

  • AGILE tools: Jira, Confluence, SLACK.

  • Having Bachelor degree in one of these preferred disciplines: economics, computer science, data science, analytics, statistics, econometrics, management information system, communications, operations research.   

Candidate with less relevant experience or skills may be offered a lower Global Career Band than stated above.
