We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of  2LOD Assurance Provider

Principal responsibilities

  • Plan ESG assurance reviews in cooperation with content, risk and/or data owners to agree assurance approach and scope.
  • Co-ordinate and actively participate in conducting fieldwork as part of the ESG assurance reviews which includes:
  • ensuring compliance with rules, regulations, standards, and frameworks.
  • reviewing and testing of processes and controls.
  • identifying and highlighting weaknesses in the design and operation of controls and control gaps.
  • reviewing of disclosures to ensure that they are true and fair.
  • Draft ESG assurance review reports for circulation to senior stakeholders within the bank.
  • Communicate issues identified through ESG assurance reviews.
Requirements
  • Ability to analyse data and medium to advanced Microsoft Excel skills, understanding of Python will be beneficial
  • Ability to provide structure and solution to problematic areas, to challenge information presented and provide reasoned explanations.
  • Excellent oral and business writing communication skills are essential.
  • Excellent time management and prioritisation of work tasks.
  • Self-motivated, enthusiastic, and proven rapid learning capability
  • ESG academic or professional work experience.
  • Previous experience of working in Audit and/or Assurance.
  • Knowledge of ESG regulatory requirements e.g. CSRD, Partnership for Carbon Accounting Financials (‘PCAF’), EU Taxonomy, EBA ESG Pillar 3
  • Knowledge of HSBC’s Non-Financial Risk Framework and the three lines of defence.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and be a strong team player
