We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of  Assistant Vice President 

Principal responsibilities

  • Support in the development of timely and high-quality instructions and documentation review for key Group-level stress testing exercises.
  • Understanding the regulatory requirements, analysing and assigning ownership of data requests raised by PRA regulations .
  • Demonstrating qualitative analytical skills to analyse requirements from risk stewards, auditors and second line of defence persons.
  • Managing stakeholders to ensure timely and complete submissions. Tracking actions, recording key decision points, distributing meeting materials and minutes.
  • Managing the entire stress test cycle in coordination with all processes and providing regular status updates to senior management and escalate key issues on timely basis.
  • Demonstrating skills in creating structure of framework document for all stress tests and making sure correct formatting is all in place for all deliverables internal or external.
  • Managing any conflicts and providing resolutions and escalations as required.
  • Ensuring processes are run in accordance with the Control framework and procedures agreed.
  • Support the development and maintenance of the documentation workstream, embedding HSBC principles to produce high quality basis of preparation, process maps and controls.
  • Ensuring adherence to all Basel Committee Banking Supervision principles by all regions and preparing self-assessment analysis.

Requirements
  • Relevant working experience in Finance or Risk function in a bank.
  • Exceptional drive and commitment; ability to work and thrive in a fast changing, results driven environment; and ability to handle competing priorities.
  • Excellent MS Office skills.
  • Effective Controls mindset
  • Proactive Problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication (written & verbal) skill. Having confidence to interact with senior stakeholders.
  • Has an eye for detail; is efficient, flexible and resilient.
  • Ability to contribute to the design of an effective control framework to measure and manage those risks.
  • Significant influencing skills to support successful delivery of role objectives.
  • Knowledge of risk concepts in banking
  • Good understanding of HSBC Financials
