We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Credit Bureau

Role purpose:

This position provides support and analytical expertise to deliver commercially relevant Global Collections, Underwriting, Credit Bureau and fraud standards that build functional operational capabilities to deliver results.  Will provide support across a spectrum of capabilities, including Analytics, UWS, Collections Operations, Credit Bureau, Fraud Operations, Change Management and Systems.

Principal accountabilities:

  • The role holder is responsible for supporting Regional Operations Analytics in support of ensuring strong and sophisticated operations capabilities, aligned to Group standards of expectation.
  • Individuals will support Operations actions, priorities, and performance to deliver improved execution of operations, through the development and delivery of customer-centric, sustainable relationship capabilities.
  • Conduct/Create complex research projects and/or statistical models related to project design, data collection, analysis, and summary of findings, recommendations, and presentation of results.
  • Gather and analyses economic, industry, demographic, and/or other data to determine impact on business operations, as appropriate.
  • May manage projects to develop recommendations for credit policy, credit/data support systems, bulk acquisitions, new merchant program structures, profitability/pricing for accounts and portfolios and provide revenue, cost, and delinquency and loss forecasts.
  • Responsible for complete project lifecycle of assigned research projects.
  • Given a business problem, must be able to create a test plan, collect necessary data to facilitate complex analysis (from various sources using various tools), convert the data into informational, conclusive, and actionable results in a format that can be shared and discussed with senior leaders of the organization.
  • Ensure operational execution of existing strategies is optimal and compliant with policy.
  • Evaluate and implement internal and external credit scoring models using both traditional and other advanced predictive technologies. May use segmentation and optimization tools in strategy development.
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in mathematics, statistics, finance, economics, engineering or related field or equivalent experience; master’s degree preferred.
  • Strong management, interpersonal, organizational, analytical, problem-solving, project management and verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency with personal computers as well as pertinent mainframe systems and statistical software packages, preferably R, Python or SAS.

Experience

  • 3 years proven credit policy and/or credit risk management/analytics experience, or equivalent. Strong knowledge and understanding of financial services preferred.
  • Requires advanced knowledge of business practices, business methods and business systems utilized to ensure data is interpreted properly.
  • Requires advanced data manipulation and programming skills.
