We are currently seeking a high calibre professional to join our team as an Assistant Manager, Credit Control. 

Principal Responsibilities

  • Account handler - manage all quarries, recoveries, correspondence for the allocated portfolio, which include various channel partners
  • MAS Debtor aging reporting and calculation and preparation of provision for bad debt
  • Support the operations teams to manage business and the client servicing efficiently by managing queries raised by them in a timely manner
  • Communications with channel partners and coordinating with various departments within HSBC Life
  • Review and posting of receipts payment vouchers into the reciting system
  • Review the commission statements Requirements
  • Handling ad hoc requests from business and clients
  • Managing Reinsurance portfolio (reconciliation and account management)
  • Review of SOP and provide sign off
  • Training new team members
Requirements
  • Credit control and /or Finance/Audit related experience with university degree or equivalent
  • Has good ability and understanding of Credit Control process with a positive attitude for change and is able to produce positive results with debt collection process
  • Skilled in handling various channels, IE Brokers, Agency, Agents, FA, Banca, Direct
  • Good understanding of legacy transactions that helps bridge knowledge in run-off clean up activities
  • Good problem-solving abilities dealing with escalations related to Insurance Industry
  • Good and positive learning attitude and can adapt to a dynamic environment quickly
  • Good Knowledge of the standard Microsoft Office software applications like Excel is essential
  • Self-starter, takes initiative independently with good organizational skills
  • Strong interpersonal and presentation skills to effectively communicate with senior management, internal and external stakeholders
  • Problem solving skills / sound analytical skillset
