We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Assistant Manager Sanctions Screening - CHINA L3 SANCTIONS COE.

Principal responsibilities

  • The role holder will be required to fulfill and execute required Regional level alert investigation for countries in scope.
  • Effectively supporting the Alert investigations Lead's and providing subject matter expertise to the implementation of globally led Sanctions change initiatives within Region and more specifically within Regional Alert Investigations Team.
  • Ensure full adherence to Global Standards Policy within Region, including but not limited to related Sanctions Guidance and Operating Procedures.
  • Support Alert Investigation Lead's in identifying Sanctions themes and trends.
  • Where identified, escalate Sanctions breaches in the appropriate manner to the required escalation point.
  • Ensure that all work is completed within agreed SLA's, with appropriate escalation and mitigating actions for items not meeting SLA's. Support in all management information, KPI.
  • Work closely with Regional Sanctions CoE complex team manager to aiding in working with the FCC Monitoring & Testing function and FCC Assurance to ensure effective deployment of system and procedural changes as required.
  • Support senior management in engagement with internal audit by supplying information in a timely and accurate manner as required and requested.
  • Supports businesses and functions to address any actual and potential Sanctions compliance issues.
  • Support the delivery of the Global strategy for the FCC Sanctions function into the Region.    
Requirements
  • Risk professional with experience in one or more risk compliance roles, to include Sanctions experience.
  • Knowledge of Sanctions regulations and guidance.
  • Knowledge of Trade and Receivable Finance (GTRF) / Knowledge of SWIFT messages types (preferred).
  • Experience within the financial services industry.
  • Lateral thinker with an ability to interpret and solve complex issues.
  • High level of English language skills.
  • Excellent communicator with strong inter-personal and influencing skills.
  • Ability to adapt to change and provide input where necessary.

Candidate with less relevant experience or skills may be offered a lower Global Career Band than stated above.
