We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Assistant Vice President – Finance Operations.
Principal responsibilities
- Managing complex accounting events such as manual journals, which are key to the ledger close, provide robust accounting and business insight into analysis, substantiation, exception management and book closure
- Monitor the entity Profit Loss, to ensure consistency. Responsible for providing elaborated rationale for any abnormal movement.
- Ensure timely closing of ledger as per Group timelines.
- Managing monthly and quarterly Reporting, MI and manual returns.
- Extensive involvement with all stakeholders.
- Deliver a well-controlled GL close and Reporting process under Group/Local Requirements for the entities in scope.
- Be responsible for reviewing and monitoring adequacy of internal controls in the process.
- Review of all deliverables of the process in Period end close & Reporting.
- CA/CPA/ACCA/MBA/ICWAI with at least 8+ years or B. Com with 12+ years of post-qualification experience in accounting and reporting.
- Prior experience in month end closure processes and Site Reporting is required
- Strong knowledge of month end closure & Reporting processes at Financial Institutions will be preferred
- Proven track record of role in controllership in BFSI sector and sound knowledge of financial products and businesses such as Retail, Private, Commercial Banking and Global Banking etc.
- Excellent communication skills, including experience of explaining complex technical matters simply
- Good knowledge of Analytical tools, MS Access Database, SAS will have an added advantage
