We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Associate Director, Software Engineering Specialist.
Business: CIB - GPS Technology
Principal responsibilities
- Owns the strategic quality engineering design and practices
- Participates in development for the application of CBCC PCS, ensuring service resilience, service sustainability and recovery time objectives are met.
- Create and update automated test scripts
- Perform test preparation including test data creation
- Execute automated test scripts
- Troubleshoot test results
- Review and signoff user stories written by Ops BA and low level design created by Tech Architects.
- Work with IT PM to create a project plan and ensure adherence to the plan
- Work with Developers in remediating test findings
- Own and arrange automated test scripts review with management team.
- Create test plan and test execution result documents.
- Partners with DevOps team to enable automated infrastructure delivery, DevSecOps value streams are executed and CI /CD pipelines to deploy services.
- Remains current on technical and professional advances and business strategies.
Requirements
- Minimum of 10 years of manual and automation testing projects
- Solid knowledge in Java programming, Cucumber and Postman tools usage. Knowledge of any other automation tools, like JMeter and Selenium would be added advantage.
- Relational database operation and development experience is required, Oracle, MySQL, etc.
- DevOps tools experience is a plus, Jenkins, Docker and Git, etc.
- API testing experience will be advantage.
- K8S and Kafka experience will be advantage.
- Basic knowledge of Linux command and shell script.
- Basic knowledge of Java concept, handy experience will be advantage.
- Master the basic use of database.
- Strong exposure to testing terminologies and processes.
- Understand the lifecycle of software programming.
- Ability to work independently and think out of the box. Self-motivated, enthusiastic, delivery-focused.
- The passion and ability to lead/motivate and develop technologist, including mentoring and coaching.
- Superior listening skills, ability to learn quickly, and willing to accept accountability for company and individual success.
- Extensive critical thinking skills for problem identification and solution recommendation.
- Exceptional team player that can lead others in demonstrating initiative and sound business judgment and is interested in expanding skills and growing professionally.
- Highly flexible, set priorities and meet deadlines in a changing environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, ability to negotiate, resolve conflicts and influence technical choices relating to business, development and architectural requirements.

- AWS/GCP/Azure certification
- Knowledge in payments business will be an added advantage.
