Corporate Sales is part of HSBC’s Global Markets business and responsible for serving corporate clients for all their Markets needs. We’re currently seeking an ambitious individual to join our Global Markets corporate sales team in Dubai. The role will primarily cover the firm’s corporate Government Related Entities in Abu Dhabi, providing solutions in FX, Interest Rate Derivatives, Fixed Income, Equities and Precious Metals. This role requires strong relationship and client management experience, deep product and technical knowledge, and an ability to work collaboratively with colleagues across the bank
In this role, you will:
• Develop trusted relationships with key clients and maintain HSBC’s top-tier status for Markets solutions amongst your portfolio
• Provide day-to-day sales coverage, providing clients with ideas and solutions across the bank’s full range of FX, Interest Rate, Fixed Income and Precious Metals
• Provide thought leadership to clients through delivery of tailored risk analysis, Research content, and trade ideas.
• Identify and originate cross-sell opportunities and manage the delivery of the bank’s Markets services to the client in overseas sites, including cross-border M&A and FX, Cash Management, Financing and Capital Markets solutions
• Deliver Global Markets’ digitalisation initiatives with your client base, driving onboarding to proprietary and third party electronic platforms, analytics tools and research portals, and championing process improvements
• Work collaboratively with colleagues in Coverage, Cash Management, Capital Markets, Advisory and Financing teams, identifying opportunities to cross sell, and deliver financing and risk management solutions to clients in a cohesive manner
• Identification and development of new client relationships
• Maintain awareness of the applicable regulatory and control environment: understand audit, tax and legal implications and changes as they affect the customers and the Bank.
To be successful in the role, you should meet the following requirements:
• Strong knowledge and experience with Markets products used by large corporates, including FX, Interest Rate Derivatives, Fixed Income, Equities and Precious Metals
• Good interpersonal skills and a track record in building relationships and trust with large corporates
• Analytical mindset with an ability to identify, analyse and articulate clients’ financial and market risks, and tailor risk management solutions to address these risks
• Good understanding of M&A, DCM, ECM and bank lending processes, and ability to identify Markets opportunities around these events
• Strong technical skills including knowledge of credit risk drivers, documentation for markets products and ability to calculate and optimise capital and RWA usage
• Experience covering large corporates with complex financing needs and highly competitive banking panels. Prior experience with Government Related Entities in MENA is a plus
• Graduation degree is a must – to secure a UAE Visa and Work Permit
