We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Associate Software Engineering Manager.

Principal responsibilities
- You will be working closely with the CIB Client Services Engineering Leadership team, helping build a hybrid Kubernetes platform across GKE and on-premise infrastructure.
- You will be developing in-house built tooling to enable the platform to enforce high standards and a high pace of delivery in its tenants.
- You will be expected to lead by example, delivering solutions at high cadence for the build out of both new functionality.
- You will be working to release change to production every day, owning requirements through discussions with the engineering leads through to development, testing, release to and support of production.
- You will be helping support teams migrating from their legacy infrastructure over to the new platform.
- You will be driving engineering excellence and the strong engineering culture across our teams.
- Experience building applications using non-breaking principles, particularly in developing RESTful APIs.
- Experience developing microservices using highly iterative methods to deliver change to production regularly. Experience delivering microservices without using frameworks like SpringBoot is a plus.
- Experience working with Java, preferably more recent versions (17 and greater).
- Experience building and managing database schemas using PostgreSQL.
- Experience with Kubernetes and building engineering platforms is a plus.
- Experience with ReactJS is a plus.
- A keenness to learn new skills and technologies as the role requires.
