We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role Captiva - Consultant Business Systems
Role Purpose:
Seeking a highly skilled professional with in-depth knowledge of the OpenText Captiva platform, responsible for providing expert guidance on document capture, data extraction, workflow design, and system optimization, assisting clients in implementing and maximizing the potential of the software to meet their specific business needs; acting as a key consultant to troubleshoot complex issues, train users, and ensure accurate data capture processes within HSBC.
Main Activities
This role requires the candidate to be able to Analyze client workflows and document types to identify areas for improvement and potential automation through Captiva. The individual filling this role must also be able to collaborate with clients to gather requirements, define project scope, and design optimal capture solutions. Additionally, they should be able to present technical solutions to stakeholders, explaining complex concepts in clear, understandable terms.
A bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, IT Infrastructure, or similar discipline
IT experience working in a fast paced, IT development shop.
Top notch troubleshooting ability
Demonstrate a current knowledge of latest DevOps tooling and practices.
Strong Cloud knowledge and understanding with GCP and/or AWS.
Deep Java/JEE development skills with a familiarity of Spring Framework including.
Spring Boot
Strong API development skills
Strong Database skills
Working experience with WebSphere Application Server, WebLogic, or Tomcat
Experience in containerization, ideally using Docker / Kubernetes.
Experience in deploying to both a private and public cloud.
Experience in automation software tools like Jenkins and Ansible.
Experience of continuous integration tooling, ideally using Jenkins
Working knowledge of Linux systems, predominantly RHEL, UNIX / Shell scripting
Strong communication skills and documentation skills, both technical and non-technical
Enthusiastic and self-motivated personality with excellent time management skills and a strong sense of initiative
Ability to work independently and effectively in a high-pressure environment against multiple deadlines.
Technical Skills
5+ years of experience in OpenText Intelligent Document Capture (Captiva) solution design, development, and implementation.
Strong expertise in OCR/ICR technology and intelligent automation.
Proficiency in .NET, Java/J2EE, SQL/PostgresSQL, and scripting languages.
Vast knowledge of cloud-based and on-premises architectures.
Experience with IBM FileNet Document Repository systems.
Strong API development skills.
OpenText Captiva certification.

Experience working in an agile environment using the latest DevOps tools.
Experience working within a large Global Enterprise IT environment.
