We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Consultant Specialist.

Business: Enterprise Technology L3

Principal responsibilities

  • Bridge the gap between software development and IT operations.
  • Automating the deployment and management of software applications, ensuring they are secure, reliable, and efficient.
  • Liaising with product owner and developers for clarity on stories, acceptance criteria and testing scope 
  • Prepare testing schedule and related testing activities while identifying and resolving all potential risks and issues.
  • Participate in project workshop to generate testing approach and perform risk assessment.
  • Coordinate with various participants and teams to prepare test cases, data set-ups and test environments, as well as manage the defect and define the process of path to live. Ensure the stories delivered meet business requirements and are delivered on time and within budget to an agreed level of quality.   
  • Attend every standup and other agile ceremonies.
  • Participate in project meetings despite their nature and must ensure that all the findings of the meetings are getting practically addressed in the project.
  • Work closely with architecture team to deliver solutions that appropriately address business needs and timelines.
  • Play a key role to contribute in designing, developing automated test cases during development process and make sure the test cases are incorporate into the daily build process
  • Familiar with Public Cloud security, monitoring and analytics tools.
  • Evaluate future cloud application and make recommendations for implementation, deployment, and provisioning applications on public cloud platform. (Mainly on GCP / Alibaba Cloud)
  • Provide best practices guidance on the architectural design and development to the implementation team. 
  • Work with different stakeholders from different locations (China, Hong Kong, UK) 
  • Provide guidance to Cloud DevOps engineers on the engineering approaches to implement solution.
Requirements
  • 5+ years experiences in DevOps development
  • A university graduate with degree in computer science or a related discipline  
  • Strong analytical, design and problem-solving skills; excellent team player with ability to work under pressure with minimal supervision.
  • Experience of working in a DevOps focused environment and working in an Agile Team
  • Strong interpersonal, communication and presentation skills with good command of written and spoken English.
  • Strong knowledge of architecture discipline and the ability put the governance into practice, knowledge of industry standard architecture frameworks would be an advantage.
  • Proven experience as a DevOps Engineer or similar role, with a focus on security integration.
  • Solid understanding of software development methodologies, continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines, and infrastructure as code (IaC).
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, Alibaba Cloud) and containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Certifications such as Certified DevOps Professional (CDOP) or Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA) are advantageous.
  • Technical Skills - must-have 
       · Fluent English communication skills. 
       · Security Integration: Embed security practices into the development lifecycle, including vulnerability scanning, code verification, and secure coding practices. 
       · Automation Tools: Proficiency in tools like Jenkins, GitHub CI/CD for automating build, test, and deployment processes. 
       · Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Experience with tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation to manage infrastructure. 
       · Containerization: Strong knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes for container orchestration. 
       · Scripting Languages: Proficiency in Python, Bash/shell scripting, or PowerShell for automation tasks.
