We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Consultant Specialist

In this role, you will:

  • The role will be responsible for driving AI solutions for portfolio & accountability management. The solutions could span from interactive chatbots, what-if scenario simulators, prediction models and recommendations engine. The AI solutions would be crucial up to speed up problem solving & decisions for technology Ex Co & PAM community. The decisions must be data driven and should enable the global technology portfolio to achieve its committed business outcomes.
  • Central Portfolio Accountability Management (PAM) is a horizontal function that cuts across HSBCs global technology portfolios. The function offers a unique opportunity to focus on wide range of scenarios for problem-solving and identify opportunities that would keep the portfolios delivering on track. This opens a fantastic prospect to unleash your talent and while learning latest insight techniques with emerging tech. The role also offers a cross functional exposure and networking opportunity while closely gaining exposure to executive priorities at a bank-wide level.
  • Well-versed in machine learning, model building and validation, evaluate and decide whether an AI system can serve the purpose it was built for or not. Manage R&D (research and development) to meet the needs of our AI strategy, Designing, developing, and implementing AI models and algorithms to address business challenges and adjusting to improve outcomes. Use AI analysis to make strategy recommendations that align with company goals
  • Able to explain AI solutions and maintaining clear traceability / audit of path to outcomes for technical and non-technical audience.
  • Analyse large datasets to extract meaningful insights and patterns that can inform AI model development. Use diverse datasets to optimise and fine-tuning existing AI models to enhance their accuracy, efficiency, and performance.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams of data scientists, software developers, and business stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into AI solutions and to preprocess clean data for AI models.
  • Building end to end AI solutions including infrastructure set up and deploying into production environments, ensuring their integration with existing systems where applicable to elevate user experience.
  • Troubleshooting and resolving issues related to AI systems. Strategic thinking in systems capacity planning, hardware and software updates, and migration. Lead disaster recovery and business continuity planning for AI computing infrastructure
  • Create and maintain documentation for AI models, algorithms, workflows, architecture roadmaps, reference architectures, and standard operating procedures for AI solutions.
  • Provide expert consultation on AI-related standards, best practices, and governance frameworks.
  • Articulate and document lessons learned for each exploration and accelerated incubation
  • Stay current on AI knowledge, trends, ethical guardrails and regulations.
  • Deliver to the backlog with a commercial mindset to derive highest ROI.
  • Uncover problems / opportunities with data-oriented approach and recommend solution options if available.
  • Establish a strong collaborative feedback loop which contributes to maturity of service.
  • Translate insights into clear, creative, and compelling stories “in corporate context.”
  • Create a network of information sources to deliver the most accurate solutions and where the team is embraced as a trusted thought partner.
  • Inspire cross-functional teams to adopt AI solutions and make them better to elevate customer experience.
  • Strong business know-how (widely within business, transformation & technology organization)
  • Clear understanding of technology delivery methodologies & real-world applicability / challenges
  • Strong experience and understanding of project management to understand the data and its correlation
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you should meet the following requirements:

  • 2+ years of experience as an AI Specialist, Data Scientist, Machine Learning Engineer, or similar role in AI development. Hands-on experience in AI development, data analysis, and machine learning techniques.
  • Ability and willingness to manage and lead AI projects from concept to deployment.
  • Experience with ML, deep learning, TensorFlow, Python, LLMs.
  • Experience in API development, bid database build, design and optimizations
  • Experience with cloud environments with platforms like AWS, Azure, and GCP
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to work with complex datasets.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to thrive in a demanding, fast-paced work environment.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills and a willingness to collaborate cross-functionally with different teams
  • Ability to analyse wide range of internal & external data & navigate through uncertainties with a purpose driven mind-set.
  • Biased towards customer service and business outcomes.
  • Curiosity to look beyond obvious and think strategically.
  • Able to communicate the key findings and insight to senior stakeholders and peers both conversationally and in formal presentation style.
  • Experience in handling difficult feedback very constructively and working towards the right thing for the bank
  • Self-starter and self-organized who can operate with minimal supervision and deliver timely results.
  • Agile/Safe/PMP certification will be added advantage.
  • Data analytics skills or certifications.
  • Corporate storytelling to convert complex and multi-dimensional data points into executive discussions
  • Continuous learning mindset to adapt and embrace the dynamic changes in the bank
