We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role Data Management Manager

Role Purpose:

This role applies to the Information Management (Data Management) job family within the Analytics function supporting various businesses and functions. The role purpose It covers necessities requested sourcing of data governance, date management and teams’ leadership within the Analytics team alignment with business objectives. Help to managing and building structured data lakes, data layers, data validation, generating business insights and cloud, support to data discovery, tables, and fields to support operation and execution in the "day to day". Key responsibilities also include but not limited to manage and feed of robust data foundation and continuous update of these datasets, to support Analysis and reporting, leverage BI and Visualization tools in case of being necessary to deliver key business insights and support to develop self-serve BI solutions to empower the business to make-decisions informed, embed agile delivery methodologies to projects and adhocs, continuously keep data quality and follow-up using new and emerging techniques. This role also acts as a bridge between IT, Business Line, and the operation in the "day to day" across Analytics team.

Main Activities

Data Governance

  • The role holder should ensure adherence, update, best practices, and followup to Standard Procedures & Data Governance practices.

  • Projects, Adhocs and Analysis

  • Manage and support with business/functions to translate business requirements into executable instructions/technical and successfully coordinate deliverables on time and with quality.

  • Promote, managing, and follow-up participate in the technical/functional sessions and ensures project results delivered on a timely manner.

  • Follow-up and QC of problems related to integrity of information deliverables keeping focus on business unit personnel, systems analysts and other end-users on issues impacting the project and ad hocs, regarding timelines and deliverables.

  • Responsible for delivery of high-quality information solutions for the existing clients / engagements and for the GAC Mx.

  • Develops effective working relationships with Global Businesses, Global Functions, Regional & country teams to maintain expert knowledge of stakeholder requirements, competitor activities and market trends to influence future direction of WPB Analytics.

Service delivery

  • To be able to manage work on well-defined processes to the team assigned aligned to necessities identified and established by himself/herself and/or Line Senior Manager.

  • The role holder will be expected Leadership, Teamwork and Support

  • Keeping strong communication across teams, leads, onshore, stakeholders and people involved about activities requested, projects, support, etc.

  • Manage and develop through team retail banking business knowledge using strong technical skills of tools [Excel, SQL, databases (not excel), SAS, Unix, VBA, Big query, Python, and any other BI tools & Campaign Manager tools.], Manage of DDBB through data, functions, processes, structure and non-structure coding, knowledge of cloud platforms like GCP, Azure, AWS is a big plus also Agile Methodologies.

Requirements
  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in one of these preferred disciplines: Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, System

  • Engineer, Finance, or a related field.

  • Excellent communication skills (both in English and Spanish) to influence a wide range of audiences in different

  • organization layers / geographies.

  • Experience at least 6-10 year in similar positions.

  • Experience with Data Governance and Data Management tools (Collibra, Informatica, Alation, Alteryx, etc.).

  • Strong technical skills of tools as Excel, SQL, databases (not excel), SAS, Unix, VBA, Big query, and data, functions,

  • processes, structure, and non-structure coding.

  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure).

  • Knowledge in data analytics tools (e.g. SQL, ETL, Python, R, Power BI, Tableau).

  • Knowledge in campaigns management tools is a plus.

  • Knowledge in Agile Methodologies [Scrum / Kanvan]] is a must.

  • Knowledge of data regulations and compliance standards is a plus.

  • Teams’ management and leadership.

  • Curiosity and creativity.

  • Knowledge of the consumer data management within the banking industry is a must.

  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, root-causes, and communication skills is a must.
