As our DevOps Engineer, you will:
- As a DevOps engineer, the person will be responsible to enhance and extend features of Summit HUB application.
- Provide critical business and production support for AMER region
- While most of the work is on C++ and Python the person is expected to be flexible w.r.t technology.
- The role requires active communication with IT, Business, and ITID stakeholders in Pune, London, Paris, Hong Kong, and Toronto.
- The person is expected to be flexible in terms of project allocation, contribute in tooling and DevOps transformation of the application
What Your Day will Look Like
- Deal with business users and successfully eliciting detailed information from them under pressured circumstances.
- A high degree of project responsibility. The ability to own projects and see it through from inception to close
Increase capability and knowledge of Finastra Summit and Markitwire - Responsible for change delivery by becoming the effective bridge between different IT Development, change management and business stakeholders.
- Identifies problems and help implementing technical solutions to fix them.
- Ability to understand challenges and deliver on the application upgrade.
- Provide business and production support during AMER hours.
- Should work within defined timelines and meet quality goals.
- Understand user queries/issues, analyse it and provide resolution.
- Collaborate with wider global teams and communicate seamlessly with IT and Business/Ops stakeholders
You´ll likely have the following qualifications to succeed in this role:
· Essential Technical Skills
- C++, Python, Oracle
- Good understanding of OOP.
- Batch/Command Scripting, Batch Scheduling tool, preferably control-m
- Rational RTC/Team collaboration system, IDE (MS Visual Studio)
- Thorough understanding of IT Development Lifecycle concepts
- JIRA, Jenkins, BMC Control-M, DevOps and Automation
· Financial Domain & Soft Skills
- Investment Banking OTC products
- Self-Starter, proactively work closely with global team members located across Paris, Hong Kong and India.
- Own up tasks and ensure delivery.
- Ability and prior experience in mentoring junior team mates on technical issues and deliveries
Skills preferred, but not mandatory:
- Experience working in a distributed team setup
- Java, Rundeck
- Proactive learning approach.
