CIB  (Corporate and Institutional Banking)

We partner with our corporate, government and institutional clients to help them achieve consistent, long-term performance. Our products and services include advisory, financing, prime services, research and analysis, securities services, trading and sales and transaction banking.

We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team.

Serve as the primary relationship lead and revenue growth driver for a portfolio of major FIG clients in East China, deepening existing relationships and strategically acquiring new key target clients.

Develop and execute comprehensive account plans to maximize cross-selling opportunities across banking products, including but not limited to Corporate Finance, Lending and Structured Finance, GPS, GTS, Global Markets (FX, Rates, Credit), Securities Services, Capital Markets Advisory.

Maintain and develop relationships at senior client level and other relevant stakeholders (regulators, lawyers, transactions services, industry associations, etc.)

Maintain an active dialogue with internal stakeholders re clients’ ambitions and relevant developments.

Communicate upwards, laterally and downwards as appropriate to make the broader effort most efficient (idea & best practice sharing, critical info relevant to other parts of the bank – within regulations and internal rules, juniors’ motivation and learning curve)

Lead project-based biz strategy and initiatives upon needs

Lead risk, legal and compliance conversations with relevant internal stakeholders to ensure comprehensive risk management control over client portfolio as first line of defense

Requirements

To be successful in the role, you should meet the following requirements:

Rich years of proven and progressive experience in a client-facing role within the Financial Institutions sector of a major international bank.

Have some client relationships or connectivity.

Knowledge and experience in M&A, ECM and DCM.

Intellectual and ethical rigor.

Proven record of proactively developing and originating client solutions.

Strong marketing skills.

Advanced understanding of risk management and risk mitigation.

Driven, ambitious, entrepreneurial.

Team oriented – able to work across geographies and product areas.

Well organized, methodical and with an analytical approach to problem solving.

Able to cope well under pressure, work against targets and meet tight deadlines.

Ability to comply with rules and regulations set out by HSBC Group and regulatory bodies. Uphold courageous integrity.

Fluent in English and Mandarin (written and oral).
