Responsible for working in partnership with stakeholders across the Global Business and COO communities to achieve execution of key strategic items for institutional sales globally 

As our Director, Institutional Sales COO you will:
 

  • Work with key sales partners to ensure the business runs smoothly, that we have clear business development plans, and that we execute those plans with sales and product partners

  • Work with sales management to ensure we understand and meet the needs of the Institutional Client segment

  • Be responsible for working closely with other business partners in the bank, which can include Global Banking, Asset Management, WPB, and Securities Services.  More specifically this role will also work closely with the coverage teams in Banking

  • Coordinate with product partners on our client agenda, product development initiatives and key technology development investments

  • Coordinate with CCO to make sure we manage, limit, and control our risks in the sales business

  • Work with central regulatory teams to implement changes in the business related the regulatory agenda.  This includes putting in place effective governance structures and processes, and helping to defining global risk and control standards

  • Be responsible for working in partnership with stakeholders across the Global Business and GCOO communities to achieve global execution strategy and implementation plans 

  • Be responsible for ensuring effective governance structures and processes are in place, defining global risk and control standards for Global Markets 

  • Improve communication and training and development across Institutional Sales

  • Support of both BAU business requirements and change initiatives

    For this role, HSBC targets a pay range between $198,800.00 and $298,100.00

    The final fixed pay offer will depend on the candidate and a number of variables, including but not limited to, role responsibilities, skill set, depth of experience and education, licensing/certification requirements, internal relativity, and specific work location.

Requirements

You´ll likely have the following qualifications to succeed in this role:
 

  • The job requires a strong knowledge of the regulatory landscape and resulting control frameworks 

  • The requires COO/ Business Management knowledge and experience

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

  • Articulate with strong analytical and good verbal and written communication skills

  • Strong multitasking ability, with an eye for detail and logical content
