The Structured Products Technology team runs the pricing & order management stack covering pre-trade client RFQs, retail market distribution, life cycle management and secondary markets.
The team develops and maintains its own Structured Products OMS with in-house built pricing service. The OMS comprises of a C# front end with a host of backend services written in C# and Java.
The team spans the 3 main trading hubs (Hong Kong, New York, London), with team members in multiple locations (Kraków, Guangzhou, Hong Kong, London, New York, Toronto and Paris).
Working as part of the Structured Products Technology team the candidate should be a Java expert, with prior coding experience in large-scaled complex systems, preferably in the financial industry. Exposure to VBA will be valuable to migrate existing tools to strategic platform written in Java.
The candidate is required to be involved in production support (via a rota) and be proactively engaged in improvements on automation. With the right candidate, there is potential for the new hire to grow into a technical lead for the region.
As our Full Stack Java Engineer, you will:
- Building out strategic Order Management System (OMS), pricing and front-to-back booking/ lifecycle platforms
- Contributing ideas related to implementation & architecture as part of a global development team
- Dev ops and production support
- Communicate directly with the Sales/Trading Desk and internal Technology teams and is able to range up and down the detail depending on your audience
- Handle all phases of development (requirements analysis through to implementation to testing automation), establishing solid relationships and trust built on proven delivery

What your Day will Look Like
- Partner with global Structured Product Platform (SPP) team and actively participate in various Agile team activities – reviewing, planning, retrospective, daily scrum, requirement grooming, etc
- Work closely with regional and global business stakeholders for day-to-day activities as well as transformation projects
- Manage design, implementation, and support of functionalities which are to be used globally
- Promoting best engineer practices and champion changes
- Participate on a global support rota as L0 and L1 support
You´ll likely have the following qualifications to succeed in this role:
- Strong Java skills
- Prior coding experience in large-scaled complex systems, familiar with concurrent processing
- Financial industry background with development experience in trading systems will be a huge plus
- Good knowledge of design principles, SDLC and a DevOps mindset
- Team player mindset with excellent communication skills
Skills preferred, but not mandatory:
- Working knowledge in VBA or C#
- Cloud technologies such as GCP or AWS
- Equity Derivatives experience
- The candidate is an excellent communicator and is comfortable communicating
