We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Senior Consultant Specialist.

In this role, you will:

  • Act as the technical lead for the development team, guiding team members and ensuring successful project delivery.

  • Represent the development team in discussions with business and technical stakeholders, ensuring alignment on requirements and deliverables.

  • Design, build, and maintain data pipelines in BigQuery SQL to extract, transform, and load data into data assets.

  • Develop and optimize BigQuery procedures to process, validate, and streamline data operations.

  • Create and maintain project-related artifacts and documentation.

  • Resolve technical blockers for the team to ensure smooth development workflows.

  • Follow Data Engineering Process Lifecycle (DEPL) and Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) controls during build, deployment, and maintenance phases.

  • Understand and bridge the gap between operational systems (OLTP) and analytical systems/platforms (OLAP), ensuring data is stored and processed appropriately for its intended use.

  • Document and map interactions (STM) between business processes, information, and data for projects.

  • Define and enforce standards, guidelines, and processes for Data Warehouse (DWH), ETL, and Database Development.

  • Proactively communicate with team members, managers, and project managers to identify and mitigate risks during the project lifecycle.

  • Contribute to the development and implementation of standards and tools for ETL and DWH.

  • Drive the adoption of organizational standards and ensure alignment with HSBC methodology.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you should meet the following requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree or international equivalent.

  • Minimum 8 years of work experience, preferably in the Financial domain (Banking).

  • Strong knowledge of GCP and its ecosystem.

  • Hands-on experience with BigQuery, GCS, Cloud Functions, Cloud Composer, and GCP SDK.

  • Proficiency in DevOps tools such as GitHub, Jenkins, and GCP Build.

  • Strong understanding of Data Modeling (Conceptual, Logical, and Physical).

  • Deep understanding of the differences between operational systems (OLTP) and analytical systems/platforms (OLAP).

  • Familiarity with Machine Learning (ML), Large Language Models (LLMs), and orchestration frameworks is a plus.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; presentation skills are a plus.

  • Strong prioritization and time management skills.

  • Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and able to meet deadlines efficiently.

  • Ability to work autonomously while thriving in a collaborative team environment.

  • Exceptional interpersonal skills for effective communication and collaboration.

  • Proven ability to lead and mentor team members.

  • Understanding of ML and LLMs.

  • Experience with orchestration frameworks
