Your career opportunity
Our team of Product Specialists function as subject matter experts supporting our wider investment business across Retail Wealth and Private Bank. This specific role would be responsible for supporting a senior funds specialist in delivering broad based funds solutions and support Investment Counsellors, wealth managers and digital platform teams with the mutual fund/ETF product offerings, new fund launches, maintenance of focus lists, commentary, performance updates and the fund universe, ensuring consistency while deliver offerings that meet local client needs, ensuring these are in compliance with regulatory and internal policies.
What you’ll do
- Ensuring the product offering is managed effectively across retail wealth and private bank platforms (fund setups, new funds being introduced, communicating any change in status of funds, providing product descriptions/investment philosophy etc).
- Communicate in a timely and investment relevant manner, writing marketing materials, general client collateral as well as internal fund update presentations.
- Being able to articulate the house view on Funds and provide commentary where relevant is essential.
- Perform responsibilities with integrity and high standards of ethics, complying fully with the Compliance Policy as well as with both the spirit and letter of the law, rules and practices that govern the HSBC Group globally.
What you need to succeed in this role
- A good understanding of financial investment products and ideally funds.
- High level of curiosity and interest in investment subjects.
- A demonstrable track record of driving results while maintaining high global standards.
- A strong ability to work in a team environment, adapt to an entrepreneurial group and to think and act independently.
- Excellent oral and written skills of English is a pre-requisite with other languages an additional benefit.
- Well organised and ability to prioritise a multitude of tasks.
- Proficiency with Excel, PowerPoint and other system applications strongly preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree with a focus in Finance, Economic, Accounting or related fields a benefit.
