We are currently seeking a high caliber professional to join our team as a Global Foreign Exchange, Product Control Manager.
Principal Responsibilities
- Detailed knowledge and experience of the MSS products, data flows and interactions, especially, foreign exchange and commodities products
- Experience in gathering and analysing requirements, building, and monitoring test plans
- Performance of the end-to-end P&L process for the FX desk within the Global Markets business. This would include review/oversight of New Trade P&L, market environment P&L, carry P&L, and cancel and amend P&L
- Identification and resolving production exceptions where possible and working closely with near-shore Product Control teams as and when required to resolved exceptions
- Review results from near-shore team and preparation/review of commentary and analysis
- Responding to near-shore queries
- Project management experience. Involvement in larger projects, reengineering and streamlining processes as part of the move to adopting a shared service centre model to achieve economies of scale and increased service quality
- Required to work closely with colleagues in the Product Control function, near-shore Product Control teams and other support functions
- Required to communicate effectively with people at various levels of seniority and different backgrounds in a challenging but collegiate environment
- Ensure that there is full compliance with the Global Markets FIM
- Integrity, conduct and performance against ethical standards
- Documented knowledge of the role
- Facilitate automation of manual processes to improve productivity
- Prompt resolution of problem issues and management queries related to the relevant product lines
- University graduate from a reputable institution in financial or economic subject or university graduate in Mathematics, Physics, Engineering or similar
- Should possess a strong knowledge of Balance sheet sell off process
- Detailed knowledge and experience of the GB&M products, data flows and interactions, especially, Foreign Exchange, Fixed income and Commodities products
- Experience in gathering and analysing requirements, building and monitoring test plans
- Prior experience in working within Financial Markets or a Treasury department
- Excellent written English and oral communication skills
- Good understanding of Financial Markets and risks (products traded, associated risks (including the greeks) and their life cycle, accounting principles and valuation techniques)
- Work independently with minimum guidance and able to work under pressure to meet tight deadlines
- Excellent analytical skills and a proactive approach to problem solving
- Excellent interpersonal skills and able to work with people across location and from different backgrounds
- Project Management experience is preferred
