We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Head of Cyber Consulting Americas

Fully dedicated to helping Global Businesses & Functions with business initiatives by providing Cyber Consulting Expertise

Role activites:

          The Cyber Security Consulting team operates within the regional Cybersecurity function and supports the Regional CISO (Chief Information Security Officer) in delivering successful Business Project outcomes.

          The role holder must demonstrate the attitude and culture expected from a seasoned business consultant to build and establish trust, backed by strong relevant cybersecurity experience.

          Provide cyber security consultancy for business initiatives right from concept stage to guide the business on the right path at onset with key considerations being the advancement of business objectives via a cyber-secured mindset.

          Have awareness of the jurisdictional areas in which the function will operate and be able to map controls to business requirements working with the role's technical counterparts.

          Provision of sound cyber business consultancy advice to our Regional Stakeholders (COO, CIOs, etc).

          Working with technical counterparts from Global and Regional Cyber teams for full engagement in digital development.

          Working with Cyber Delivery counterpart to promote the latest global cyber security innovation and transformation initiatives in the region.

          Keep abreast of the latest technologies in cyber security used in peer banks, security communities in the region and contribute ideas to the global teams within HSBC.

          Participate in the community of Cybersecurity globally and regionally to ensure regional consistency and best practices for Cybersecurity and Risk Management.

          Actively participate with global and regional industry forums and various external Consulting firms in garnering market intelligence of consulting activities so as to implement advanced cyber consultancy ideas into HSBC

Requirements

Qualifications

    • Positive and professional attitude, team player, flexible and adaptable, open to changes.
    • Confident and takes responsibility and ownership.
    • Proficient in English with excellent spoken and written communication and ability to adapt style based on a senior audience, in order to influence senior executives.
    • Ability to communicate technical subject matter to non-technical stakeholders.
    • Previous consulting experience of delivering an excellent advisory service.
    • Ability and self-motivation to learn and pick things up quickly.
    • Strong understanding of banking business requirements.
    • Degree in business administration, banking or engineering with a technology-related field required. 
    • Professional security management certification (e.g. CISSP,CISM, CCSP).
    • Innovative thinking and leadership with an ability to lead and motivate cross-functional, interdisciplinary teams.
    • Experience in Agile principles adoption or other best in class development practices.
