Purpose of the Position
The Head of Investments & Wealth Solutions (IWS) Strategy Execution works with the Head of IWS to define and deliver global, regional and country strategic / tactical initiatives across products, platforms, processes and people throughout the client continuum.
The role owns a wide range of activities, projects and programs across growth, change, remediation, regulation and risk & control to execute the IWS and wider GPB&W strategic objectives. The scope of the role includes all sub-functions within IWS. This position entails very close partnership with the IWS Head and decision-making and direction-setting.
The Head of IWS Strategy Execution is accountable for connecting the dots between Products, Proposition, Strategy, Change, Digital and other areas to ensure a coherent and consistent directional approach both within IWS, and when interlocking with other WPB and Americas teams/functions. The role is a key interface with WPB partners such as Distribution, Customer and Chief of Staff teams to ensure maximum IWS effectiveness and a joined-up approach in delivering optimal business and client outcomes and putting Wealth at the heart of WPB. It fosters IWS alignment, knowledge and best-practice sharing across markets. The position is also key interface with global IWS and GPB&W teams.
Main responsibilities
- Lead GPB&W, WPB and IWS strategic deliverables such as Future State Architecture, VSIP, FRP, international connectivity, collaboration.
- Support IWS MX team in the Wealth Bank of Mexico program, other initiatives, and BAU activities
- Execute on opportunities for wealth revenue and penetration growth
- Achieve alignment of IWS strategy across CIO, IM, Insurance, Product Specialists, Product Development & Management, Advisory, TFS, Credit Advisory, Platforms
- Manage effective partnership with GPB Head CoS team for effective IWS-Distribution value chain and delivery of GPB&W agenda
- Accountable for FTE and cost management, ODA, etc
- Influence senior stakeholders in progressing strategic IWS initiatives
Requirements
· Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, related field or equivalent experience
· Proven wealth management experience, financial services experience or equivalent
· Deep knowledge of Wealth and Private Banking products, platforms and processes
· Proven experience in large-scale performance and business management and strategic, tactical and project implementation across diverse themes and topics
· Exemplary decision-making
· Versatile in managing competing deliverables and prioritizing effectively to deliver at pace
· Conceptual, strategic thinker with ability to articulate and convert ideas into plans and actions
· Highly influential and collaborative
· Excellent written and oral communication and presentation with very high attention to detail
· Change agent to deliver innovative outcomes
· Commercial outlook combined with thorough risk & control mindset for sustainable, controlled results
· Extensive and deep knowledge of wealth management business, its products, services, operations and supporting systems and pertinent regulations impacting their delivery
