We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team.

 

In this role, you will:

 

  • Responsible for developing relationships and originating both simple and complex debt financing arrangements and treasury solutions for technology clients and prospects in designated industries and markets.
  • Coach, develop and drive deeper relationships with current clients and drive new opportunities within the designated markets.
  • Remains abreast of market, sector, and competitive trends, developing and delivering insights and points of view on loan types and credit performance trends as well as opportunities to innovate on our solutions. 
  •  Builds and maintains strong alignment amongst Relationship Management, Credit Solutions, Global Treasury and Market Risk Solutions.
  • Able to lead to high-functioning teams, both direct and cross functional; builds trust and confidence with adjacent teams and senior leadership.
  •  Desire to build the future of Corporate Finance. 
  •  Promote the brand awareness and recognition in the innovation ecosystem in Greater China.
  • New client sourcing with track-record of success
  • Ability to effectively position bank products to address client needs.
  •  Leverage experience to map client journey with HSBC and with capability of delivering the entire HSBC platform.
  • ·Oversees the structuring, underwriting closing of credit solutions for team's assigned sector / market / portfolio.  This includes allocation of the right resources and providing expert guidance across the business as well as direct engagement as appropriate in opportunities.
  • Build partnership with Products to develop unique product propositions that are catered for innovative companies, particularly in earlier stage.
  • Build, enrich and enhance onshore venture debt solution and infrastructure by working closely with internal and external stakeholders like regulators and risk stewards/committees.
  • Oversea team's assigned portfolio / market / sector - this includes driving outstanding NPS, allocation of resources, maintaining credit quality and profitability targets, direct engagement in situations including serving as an ambassador of HSBC Innovation Banking Portfolio Company Coverage Banking as appropriate.
  • Leads product partner discussions in Debt capital markets/leverage finance/private placements/upper middle market technology commercial banking as the primary relationship manager.
  •  Leads in-person and virtual teams, providing oversight and guidance, prioritization for the team, driving skills and career development for individuals, ensuring the development and retention of top talent across the wider practice, and delivering on scalability initiatives.

Requirements

To be successful in the role, you should meet the following requirements:

  • 10-15 years’ relevant experiences, solid understanding of credit and capital markets, financial engineering, competition, technology market and HSBC’s unique market advantages.
  • Highly skilled at structuring, negotiating, closing, and handling the most complex financing solutions to meet client needs.
  • Able to exercise judgment and authority prudently and with proper balance for the best interests of the clients and HSBC and ensure that resources are properly deployed for optimal outcomes in both pipeline and portfolio. 
  • Able to engage as SME and trusted partner / expert with key stakeholders (internally and externally). 
  • Full command of debt financing, underwriting fundamentals and HINV credit appetite.
  • Ability to appropriately position financing solutions to companies.
  • Fluent across the right side of balance sheet with ability to authoritatively advise CFO/CEOs regarding capital structure, operational efficiency in treasury.
  • Highly skilled at structuring, negotiating, closing, and handling the most complex financing solutions to meet client needs.
  • Fluency in Mandarin and English is a must.
