We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of ISSB Business Analyst - ESG - FIN OPS.

Principal responsibilities

  • Ensure business and user requirements along with enhancement related to IFRS sustainability-related and climate-related disclosures are well represented and collated.
  • Articulate business requirements into implementation approach considering data feeds, sources and systems design implication for onwards design and build.
  • Identify issues globally (and regionally / at entity) as appropriate and share issues and solutions accordingly.
  • Support the day-to-day ESG disclosures outcomes related to ISSB for the Group and ESG CFO to front the change through Global Finance and broader stakeholder groups.
  • Maintain strong, collaborative working relationships across Finance and other stakeholder groups.
  • Understand how Global Finance impacts can be identified appropriately, in partnership with the ESG CFO team.
  • Work with other programmes to ensure that Finance related ESG and Sustainable Finance dependencies are delivered within the timelines and to the standards required by Finance.
  • Enable transition to BAU and ensure completeness, governance, and adherence to Change Framework standards.
  • Provide important link into project delivery team to ensure quality in operational readiness planning.  
    Requirements
    • A Minimum of 5 years' experience in business analysis, with a focus on disclosure reporting or financial reporting.
    • Previous experience within the Finance change function or Finance IT, as a BA/SME capacity would be an added advantage.
    • Familiarity with sustainability reporting frameworks or a strong understanding of financial regulations and compliance.
    • Excellent working knowledge of MS related products i.e., PowerPoint, Excel, Ms Visio.
    • Prior experience in global regulatory/finance change within a Finance or Risk context.
    • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
    • Good cross-finance knowledge and experience, able to confidently speak on behalf of Finance.
    • Understanding of HSBC Group structures, values, behaviours, processes, and objectives.
    • Good knowledge of the external environment – regulatory, competitors, etc.
    • Proven track record for adopting an inclusive approach, achieving consensus on action plans for resolving complex issues and ability to exercise independent and out of the box thinking.
    • Ability to influence and manage global and regional stake holder relationships in leading change.

    Candidate with less relevant experience or skills may be offered a lower Global Career Band than stated above.
