We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Business Analyst

In this role, you will:

  • Support functional / business requirement elicitation and documentation.
  • Should be able to relay requirements to the Vendor / Developers in a clear and concise manner. 
  • Facilitates and complies with the HSBC Agile Framework Agile practices (e.g., Scrum, Kanban, LEAN, SAFe).
  • Ensures Business value is delivered across designs which are prioritised as per roadmap. In addition, ensure reduced or no technical debt.
  • Be Hands-On and owns & drives SIT/UAT test cases and ensuring alignment to requirements and testing the entirety of scope.
  • Works with Product Owner/Delivery Lead to meet compliance/legal / Audit and risk requirements.
  • Collaborates and Promotes team culture:
    • Inclusive of others.
    • Shares and listens as well as support efforts of others.
    • Ability to motivate others to adopt change and do the right thing.
  • Regularly participates and share knowledge across a specific SME area. 
  • Should have a fair understanding of the underlying technology to be able to communicate with the Dev Team/Production Support team and remove barriers.
  • Takes pro-active responsibility for directly managing own tasks and indirectly driving the tasks of others which contribute to the success of directly owned tasks, escalating appropriately as required to meet agreed deadlines.
  • Builds and maintains positive, complementary working relationships with partner teams across Markets & Securities Services IT and Stakeholders in Operations, Asset Servicing and Product Control
  • Working with multiple delivery and business partner teams across the Program / Project as set out in the business case.
  • Managing changing priorities in a dynamic environment.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you should meet the following requirements:

  • An experienced IT Business Analyst with a comprehensive Post Trade experience in Cash and Debt Securities (Bonds and Repos) and demonstrable track-record of delivery success in IT change projects. 
  • Have domain knowledge about Trade Lifecycle, Confirmations, Settlements (Swift Messaging and CREST)
  • Experience in managing the expectations of diverse stakeholder personalities & experience levels.
  • Solution Design and Requirement Clarification. 
  • Risk assessment: Identify potential functional risks and challenges early in the project. 
  • User- Centered Design: Ensuring product features are intuitive and aligned with the needs of end-users.
  • Able to build strong relationships with partner functions and business units. 
  • Empathy and Value Driven. Able to interface and influence in the organization. 
  • Has excellent data analysis and problem-solving skills.
  • Articulate and can effectively build consensus across a diverse audience of Business and IT.
  • A self-starter with excellent analytical and planning skills.
  • Tenacious and able to challenge the norm/status quo whilst suggesting viable alternative approaches.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills.
  • Produces clear, concise, high-quality documentation and deliverables.
  • Able to work in the DevOps environment, whereby willing to contribute to multiple streams like Testing scope, Manual Testing, Support, Audit etc.
