We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Associate Director, Software Engineering Specialist
In this role, you will:
- Manage delivery of multiple projects and its related Non Functional requirements.
- Manage project approach, building stakeholder buy-in around the project plan, commitments and changes· Oversee the projects activities, including scope, schedule and resourcing.
- Work with business and IT stakeholders to ensure project activities are aligned to wider programme objectives.
- Work with the Programme management team to quantify controls uplifts, success criteria and risk reductions throughout project delivery.
- Assemble and manage the project team and their performance.
- Track and manage risks throughout the lifecycle of the project.
- Deliver successful project outcomes (i.e. ensuring it is on time and within budget).
- Manage, monitor and report progress, any issues, dependencies and risks to the Programme management team, internal stakeholders and/or Steering Committee.
- Develop a holistic executive level milestone plan for the business spanning technical delivery and business activities.
- Contribute to and agree business transition plans including handover criteria, ensuring all delivery expectation are meet before handing final activities to BAU.
- Manage the production of reports and information required to manage key stakeholders in the business.
- Acts as the business sign off point for all project tollgate meetings.
- Attend governance forums as required by the business.
To be successful in this role, you should meet the following requirements:
- Minimum Bachelor Degree of Engineering with Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Core IT Project management & IT Experience in a large-scale Financial Services environment or global corporate service provider
- Strong understanding and experience in the delivery of IT Service Acceptance process and Non Function requirement for Change the bank and Run the bank projects
- Strong understanding of Service Monitoring and alerting, Operational acceptance testing process, Enterprise Information management, IDAM and OLA process
- Good to have PMP certification or Agile certification with strong experience of managing project using PMI methodology and process
- Strong Communication and Stakeholder Management experience
- Strong Knowledge of Project Management Methodoloy, process and knowledge areas
- Strong experience using in powerpoint, JIRA, Confluence, ServiceNow, Sharepoint and Excel for analysis and project status report
- Knowledge of estimation, budgeting, CPM methods, performance evaluation and change management principles.
- Knowledge / previous hands on experience in application engineering and development will be an added advantage
- Knowledge of Cybersecurity and some knowledge of Cyber risk and controls quantification.
- Understanding of industry standard controls frameworks (e.g. NIST FSS) and, some knowledge is beneficial but not mandatory.
- Understanding of project management principles and a relevant Project Management qualification (e.g. PMP, Agile Certification with strong understanding of PMI Methodolgy and process)
