International Corridors, Head of Europe Desk, HSBC Bank USA, N.A, New York, NY:

 

Manage International Subsidiary Banking (ISB) client portfolios promoting Foreign Direct investment (FDI) by foreign corporations into the USA. Grow US ISB inbound revenues from HSBC global corporate clients, in Europe, through coordination with client coverage teams and product partners, and structuring of deals for clients. Focus on client acquisition, sustainable solutions, and maintaining the highest level of global standards. Work with client coverage teams to deepen client relationships through driving business co-operation with key stakeholders including Global Banking & Markets, Trade & RF, Treasury Services, Private Banking, and Retail Banking. Contribute to effective utilization of the area/country balance sheet through monitoring risk-weighted assets (RWA) and deployment of appropriate risk management tools to price appropriately for risk and to selectively acquire assets and monitor impairment charges and leading loss indicators. Implement Group-aligned marketing initiatives that create strong brand awareness. Understand current economic trends and their impact on HSBC within assigned country and identify key levers to capitalize on opportunities or minimize downside exposure. Observe all HSBC control standards and implement and observe the Group Compliance Policy, including the timely implementation of recommendations made by internal/external auditors and external regulators. Protect sensitive customer and bank information by ensuring documents, computers, files, and all confidential matters are appropriately handled as set forth by policy. Contain compliance risks in liaison with the Head of Group Compliance, Global Business Compliance Officer, Area Compliance Officer or Local Compliance Officer, ensuring adequate compliance resources and training, fostering a compliance culture and optimizing relations with regulators.

Full time employment, Monday – Friday, 40 hours per week. Pay range: $205,000 - $215,000 per year.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business or a related field and 5 years of related work experience. In lieu of a Bachelor’s degree, employer will accept 2 additional years of related work experience.

 

Must have 5 years of experience in each of the following:
·         International commercial banking business development;
·         EU and USA commercial banking regulations;
·         Commercial credit risk assessment in an international environment;
·         Financial products pertaining to Corporate business requirements including investment, lending, trade, FX, and general risk mitigation; and,
·         Analyzing and advising banking clients on risks, best practices and required actions pertaining to US financial regulatory actions and Governmental changes.

Domestic travel required up to 80%. International travel required up to 20%.
