We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Java Engineer
In this role, you will:
- Responsible for building the HSBC Model Risk Management platform
- Work with Business Analysts to understand requirements and complete development, testing and create runbooks for support team to execute in Production
- Support DevOps work in agile environment
- Should be able to work on adhoc requests for automation, documentation, creating reports etc.
- Provide functional and technical assistance to support teams
To be successful in this role, you should meet the following requirements:
- 5+ years of experience developing enterprise applications using Java Technologies.
- Comprehensive Working experience in Microservices & Micro Database Architecture.
- Experience with Workflow development using BPMN & DMN.
- Working experience in Event Driven Architecture.
- Expert in the following technologies: Java, Spring Framework (Boot/Data/Rest/Security/Profiles), Swagger.
- Passionate about implementing a robust framework of unit & integration testing (Junit/Mocking/H2/HttpUnit).
- Work history in writing batch programs.
- Deep appreciation for the importance of logging & error handling.
- Docker & Kubernetes for container creation & configuration.
- Cloud Services Development.
- Experience in executing code scanning tools and resolving subsequent violations in coding standards and/or code quality.
- Experience in Programmatic Unit Testing & Integration Testing.
- JIRA & Wiki Collaboration (e.g. confluence).
- Agile Methodologies (e.g. SCRUM).
- Experience with Spring Integration and Spring Batch.
- Experience with Binary communication protocols.
- Experience with Workflow Libraries Flowable/Activiti/Drools.
- Experience with GCP Services Development.
