We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Lead Consultant Specialist.
Business: Markets & Sec Services IT
Principal responsibilities
• Work closely with the product owner to ensure work is prioritised to ensure IT systems / products are maintained and fast and accurate delivery of new functionality and improvements as required.
• Be accountable and responsible for production stability for the application, able drive root-cause-analysis and problem management.
• Contribute and make strategic decisions that affect the design and architecture of Prime IT platform.
• Technically competent and up to date with the latest technology trends, tools and solutions, with a specific focus on front-to-back system development and micro service based technology.
• Build and develop good working relationship with end-user and collecting feedback for continuous improvement.
• Oversee small / medium / large scale projects associated with your specific business area and function.
• Maintain continuous communication with the global teams to ensure collaborative development, reviews and strategic decision making.
• Collaborate with the wider Securities Financing organisation to share ideas, promote experimentation and innovation.
• Drive and be pro-active to support and encourage a successful engineering culture across the team and wider Securities Financing organisation.
Requirements
• 10+ years’ experience as a technical development manager and familiar with Agile methodology.
• Strong technical background, with a deep understanding of Java micro service and database / cloud technologies, including but not limit to GCP/AWS.
• Knowledge of designing and developing responsive UI components is definitely a plus.
• Experience leading a development team, showing strong leadership skills and a desire to develop and empower teams.
• Effective and confident communicator with a proven ability to communicate with stakeholders at all levels.
• Prior experience of working in Investment Banking Equities and post trade lifecycle management would be a plus.
• Familiar with DevOps tooling: JIRA, Jenkins and Ansible, the continuous integration and continuous delivery pipeline
• Demonstrate excellent analytical capabilities, problem solving skills, learning abilities, team skills and ability to work independently.
• Strong problem solver with a desire to work with business and downstream and upstream teams to continually improve and innovate.
