We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Consultant Specialist.

In this role, you will:

• Manage ongoing support of the WSIT Observability and IT Services
• Support and report on Observability (AppDynamics, Otel, Splunk, Prometheus etc. ) adoption across the WSIT Applications
• To build a self-sustainable model to effectively utilize multiple Observability toolset.
• To maintain and support the responsibilities of the WSIT Center of Excellence for Observability
• To liaise and support the relationship between HSBC WSIT and Product Vendors.
• Encourage development & Production teams to utilize the true potential of different toolset in bank.
• Proactively work with HSBC monitoring teams, initiating and structuring Proof of Concepts for new technologies including, for example, Cloud / Kubernetes 

To be successful in this role, you should meet the following requirements:

• Relevant experience in a critical software engineering role with high business impact. 
• Proven experience in SLO\SLI creation, observability dashboard design/development, and an understanding of business workflows across Public and On-Prem containerized/microservice environments.
• Excellent working knowledge of key computer science & engineering concepts (networking, operating systems, virtualization, containerization, etc.).
• Strong experience with end-to-end observability stacks (Grafana, Prometheus, AppDynamics, ELK, Splunk, etc.) 
• Experience with IAC automation and CI\CD pipeline creation and management is desirable.
• Experience of senior stakeholder management.
