We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Associate Director

In this role, you will: 
•    1.    Technical Leadership & Strategy:
•    Provide hands-on technical leadership and architectural direction for cloud infrastructure (AWS compute, network, storage, EKS), Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) practices (Terraform, CDK), CI/CD platform engineering, Engineering automation frameworks and tooling adoptions to make is easier to deploy, update and scale, aligned with business objectives, including cloud adoption, data center optimization, and technology roadmaps by design of an architecture that provides unified access to digital assets across environments
•    Partner with the Values stream leads and other key stakeholders to define and execute the technical strategy for infrastructure automation, reliability, efficiency leverage initiatives , evergreening programs.
•    Drive the adoption of modern DevOps and SRE principles across your teams to ensure high availability, performance, and scalability of platforms.
•    Champion and implement robust security best practices within the infrastructure and platform lifecycle.
•    Accountable for Vulnerability Management – forming a best-in-class team ensuring that Digital Platforms is trusted to be proactively secure, reliable and stable with minimal to no delinquent vulnerabilities and without any service impact. Infuse health alerting system.
•    Drives the execution, coordination, and delivery across all the platform value stream teams. Ensures programs/Initiatives (like automation focused, FinOps Sprints, SOX etx) are managed effectively.

2.    Platform Engineering & Automation:
•    Lead the design, development, and operation of core infrastructure automation frameworks and tooling. 
•    Identify gaps in existing systems and create action plan to plug those gaps rapidly.
•    Oversee the engineering of central CI/CD pipelines, enabling fast, reliable, and secure software delivery.
•    Drive the automation of infrastructure lifecycle management, including OS/Middleware patching, version upgrades, and capacity management (Evergreening).
•    Lead the engineering efforts for container orchestration platforms (e.g., EKS) and their ecosystem tooling 
•    Define operational sphere for your global teams with role and responsibilities segregations. Leverage engineering and Infrastructure as code culture, regular commits to github and proactive issue detections, removals of manual toils in all workflows where possible
•    Ensure high quality of Deliveries of transformation and drive global projects, reduce obsolescence and vulnerability, and increase the availability of the services.
•    Develop and execute a global automation framework and strategy with selection of fit for use tooling/framework to make is easier to deploy, update and scale, aligned with business objectives, including cloud adoption, data center optimization, and technology roadmaps by design of an architecture that provides unified access to digital assets across environments

3.    Internal Platform Productization:
•    Guide engineering teams in building and enhancing internal self-service platforms (e.g., BPA, Self service portals environment provisioning, infrastructure resource management).
•    Instill a product mindset within the engineering teams, focusing on usability, API design, documentation, and the developer experience for internal platforms.
•    Collaborate closely with Product Management (for internal platforms) and user-facing teams (like Developer Experience) to understand requirements and ensure platform capabilities meet developer needs.
•    Ensure seamless integration between user-facing self-service interfaces and the underlying infrastructure automation layers.
•    Work towards building a central digital asset repositories/Data quality based near real time dashboards that integrate both on-premises and cloud Environments, define requirements, architecture and roadmap for central asset inventory that aligns with organizations strategic goals.
•    Innovation – streamlined access to data and resources fosters innovation and enables the development of new products and services

Requirements


Qualifications - External
To be successful in this role, you should meet the following requirements:
•    Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
•    15+ years of experience in software engineering, infrastructure engineering, or DevOps/SRE roles, with a significant portion focused on cloud platforms.
•    5+ years of experience in a formal engineering leadership role (Manager, Senior Manager, Associate Director level), including experience managing other managers or technical leads.
•    Proven track record of designing, building, and operating large-scale, automated infrastructure on AWS, GCP, etc.
•    Deep expertise in Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) tools (Terraform strongly preferred, CDK/CloudFormation beneficial).
•    Extensive experience building, managing, and optimizing CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub CI, CodePipeline/CodeBuild).
•    Strong understanding and practical experience with containerization and orchestration technologies (Docker, Kubernetes, AWS EKS).
•    Proficiency in scripting and/or programming languages (e.g., Python, Go, Bash).
•    Experience with observability tools (monitoring, logging, tracing) and implementing SRE practices.
•    Demonstrated ability to think strategically about platform development and apply product management principles to internal tools/platforms.
•    Excellent communication, collaboration, and influencing skills.
•    Proven track record of success in senior technology leadership roles within complex financial services companies and involvement in complex technology transformations. 
•    Deep technical expertise in software development (full stack), architecture, and infrastructure, with hands-on experience in building scalable, high-performance systems. 
•    Outstanding Technology leader with at least 15 years of experience in field who is passionate about driving the business agenda. 
•    Ability to understanding the relationship between application design, data and infrastructure. 
•    Large scale and complex enterprise planning capabilities  
•    Understanding of infrastructure as a code and software development methodologies and best practices. 
•    Demonstrable success in understanding and delivering towards customer needs in large, complex organizations. 
•    Knowledge of relevant tools and platforms (e.g., cloud platforms, web technologies, client-server technologies, continuous integration, and deployment), with an eagerness to learn about new and unfamiliar technologies. 
•    Managing operational functions, directing process re-engineering and efficiency exercises. 
•    Respectful of different cultures, working with colleagues from across 5 regions (North America, LATAM, Middle East, Asia Pacific and Europe. 
•    Strong track record of leading digital technology engineering teams within a retail / consumer industry, preferably at scale and across global markets 
•    Leading and directing executive and non-executive work groups and effecting change through people  
•    Proven track record in effective stakeholder management with ability to interact with and advise senior stakeholders.
