We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Senior Consultant Specialist.

In this role, you will:

  • Lead the scrum team using Agile methodology and scrum practices to enable successful delivery and ways of working in the MSIT Platform Team.
  • Coordinate Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, sprint demo’s retrospective meetings and daily stand up.
  • Co-ordinate where needed, attend, and provide input in Scrum of Scrum meetings.
  • Drive the development team to achieve continuous improvement, increasing sprint capacity and releases.
  • Ensure improvement areas raised in Sprint Retrospective meetings are logged and actively taken forward.
  • Engage with the Requirement Owners on the prioritisation of the Product Backlog.
  • Work with the Development Team to ensure new requests are impact assessed and sized in a timely manner.  Backlog is maintained and groomed on a regular cadence.
  • Provide continuous coaching to the team and support with team member development.
  • Attend QBR meetings and take ownership of preparation for Increment Planning sessions including capacity planning and preparation of planning board.
  • Take ownership of the running of POD breakouts in Increment Planning sessions.
  • Proactively identify potential impediments or risks and problem-solve or escalate appropriately
  • Engage with stakeholders ensuring development team blockers are removed in a timely manner.
  • Ensure risks and issues are logged, owned and mitigation plans in place / path to green.
  • Ensure dependencies are logged, tracked and owned.
  • Ensure definition of ready and definition of done is agreed.
  • Ensure all Enterprise Technology standards are adhered to.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you should meet the following requirements:

  • Proven experience in the role of Scrum Master, ie as part of a transformation or global programme.
  • In-depth knowledge in Agile methodologies, SAFE, Scrum including certification.
  • Expert in the use of Jira and Confluence including production of reports and dashboards.
  • Experience of working in an Annual Operation Planning or Internal Billing team.
  • CSM/PSM certification.
  • Nice to have SAFE certification
  • Zoom Whiteboard experience would be beneficial.
