In this role you will:
- Be responsible for calculating and reporting regulatory and internal capital positions
- Support the financial reporting process, including the running of various actuarial models in accordance with the International Financial Reporting Standards for Insurance (“IFRS17”)
- Support the pricing of various prospective initiatives and ensure compliance with internal pricing procedures
- Be responsible for ensuring proper governance and appropriate risk management is followed to ensure compliance with all internal policies and procedures
- Build strong relationships with internal and external partners (including Finance, Risk, regulators, reinsurers, and auditors)
To be successful in this role, you should meet the following criteria:
- Relevant actuarial qualification (e.g., Institute & Faculty of Actuaries / Society of Actuaries)
- Knowledge and experience with the local Bermuda Solvency Capital Requirements as defined by the Bermuda Monetary Authority is required
- Experience in regulatory reporting and regulatory engagements is required
- IFRS17 knowledge / experience is preferred
- Knowledge and experience with the Bermuda (Re)insurance market is desirable
- Well-organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple deliveries at pace
