We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Senior Assistant Vice President, Financial Crime Detection & Digital Enablement

Principal responsibilities

  • Skilled / expert in use of Microsoft tools (Project, PowerPoint, Word, Excel and Outlook), Agile tools (Rally, Jira) and working knowledge of project management tools and techniques, including waterfall and agile methodologies. Minimum 5 years of experience.
  • Significant demonstrable experience of initiating and running multiple projects simultaneously, working with internal technology teams – along with strong leadership skills.
  • Previous experience working across various teams within business and IT is preferred along with a solid project delivery background.
  • Experienced in facilitating workshops with business stakeholders and development teams to improve understanding and performance Release Planning, Retrospectives.
  • Has developed a truly effective and collaborative team culture.
  • Ability to interpret and analyse large volumes of information and/or data with proven ability to explain this to stakeholders in a clear and concise manner.   
  • Proven ability to take an active approach in reviewing current processes and looking at ways to improve optimisation and efficiency.
  • Thorough stakeholder management skills with proven ability to influence.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and excellent communicator with extensive experience and capability to lead discussions with sr. stakeholder and drive discussion & decision in forums.
  • Degree level educated [Or equivalent]. Will be good if they have formal project management certification and hold management degree (MBA).
  • Prefer Project management – Practitioner level accreditation PMP/PMI/Agile
Requirements
  • University degree in technology or related discipline or relevant work experience in Financial Crime, Transformation or Governance
  • Understanding of Financial Crime, Agile Quarterly Planning and Governance risks and direct experience of deployment of controls and governance to manage those risks.
  • Experience in Financial Services (experience within a tier one bank) or related industry
  • Knowledge of the HSBC Group structure, its business and personnel, and HSBC’s corporate culture
  • Experience of agile development
  • Have strong organizational and planning skills.
  • Effective communication (both verbal and written) and presentation skills.
  • Sound judgment and critical thinking skills, ability to think laterally.
  • Able to manage numerous tasks with continual re positioning and prioritization.
  • Experience of visualization tools and techniques including Qlik.
  • Solid understanding of data & architecture concepts including cloud, ETL, Ontology, Data Modelling.
  • Experience of using JIRA, RALLY, GIT, Confluence, Teams, Slack, Advanced Excel
