We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Senior Consultant Specialist.

Principal responsibilities
- Hand-on Mongo DB on medium/large scale critical platforms
- Hand-on Oracle RAC on medium/large scale critical platforms
- Install, configure, troubleshoot and deploy Oracle RAC or an enterprise database environment
- Partner with Engineers, Administrators, Architects, Developers and Project Managers to implement and support applications according to business requirements
- Responsible for ensuring availability and performance of the databases
- Work with DevOps team to ensure that the associated hardware resources allocated to the databases and to ensure high availability and optimum performance
- To proactively monitor the database systems to ensure secure services with minimum downtime
- Responsible for providing trend analysis to the service management team to enable them to make informed decisions regarding resource management
- Responsible for implementation and release of database changes as submitted by the development team
- Responsible for problem analysis and tuning on multiple database technologies.
- Provides expert advice and consultation to DevOps team.
- Provides advanced maintenance support for Oracle and Mongo DB. Plans and certifies software maintenance fixes and major releases. Plans and supervises data migrations for major database upgrades.
- Provides advanced troubleshooting and production support including on-call support to respond to outages and other database related problems. Ensures data integrity by designing operational procedures for scheduled database maintenance.
- Provides flexible working time and advanced maintenance support for project releases and maintenance fixes.
Requirements
- University graduate with degree in computer science or related discipline with minimum 5 years relevant experience
- Strong Oracle Database Administration experience
- Strong MongoDB Database experience
- End-to-end knowledge of Oracle database technologies including Oracle RAC, Golden Gate, Dataguard, RMAN, and OEM.
- Experience of managing multiple RDBMS on large systems
- Experience of working in a team that delivers a high availability service
- Practical experience in monitoring and tuning a database to provide a high availability service
- Ability to implement physical designs from logical designs.
- Unix level scripting skills.
- Unix OS fundamentals.
- Oracle Certification, preferably OCP
- Preferably experience with an additional database such as but not limited to MongoDB, SQLServer, PostgreSQL and DB2
- Experience of working in a team that delivers a high availability service
- Fluent at English Oral
