We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Senior Consultant Specialist

Business: Markets Sec Services Tech

Principal responsibilities

This role will work as senior development specialist in Strategic Aggregation Engine (SAGE) of Traded Risk. SAGE is one of Risk 2025 key initiatives to deliver strategic aggregation platform for Risk managers and utilize new vendor product on cloud & on-prem hybrid environment. This role will be expected to perform the following:

  • Design, build and maintain efficient, reusable and reliable components, aiming for achieving business objectives.
  • Keen on understanding business knowledge, use cases and scenarios, based on which work with BA, users and architect to drive out effective and sound solutions.
  • Contribute to all phases of development with DevOps and Agile principals adopted.
  • Ensure high quality standard of deliverables according to HSBC standards and best practices.
Requirements
  • A university graduate with degree in computer science or a related discipline.
  • A minimum of 8 years' IT software development experience.
  • Fluent oral English with experience to communicate with different audiences is required.
  • Well skill in influencing users and BA towards effective solution.
  • Well enthusiastic and self-motivated to work out deliverables with timeline pressure managed.
  • Hands on experience in Java, Spring Framework, SPARK, Python, SQL, GCP.
  • Well experienced in all phases of the software development lifecycle.
  • Well experienced in Agile and DevOps development practices.
  • Strong problem solving skill and future state vision.
